Fortunately, many private companies in the manufacturing sector that I deal with, have taken that upon themselves.
The place I was this morning (division of a major multinational), you are not getting past the security gate unless you have their own app on your phone and it's displaying a green (good-to-go) status. I know this isn't perfect, but nothing is. Only visitors performing essential services are allowed.
Only after the security gate can you get into the lobby, and you stand in front of a thermal camera and someone checks that your temperature is in a proper range. In the lobby is a big bin of masks, and there's a great big sign above the doors, "Absolutely no entry beyond this point without wearing a mask" and a diagram showing someone wearing one properly, over their nose. And you had better not be spotted within the plant without one.
The cafeteria / coffee shop is closed, which is a minor annoyance. That's the situation almost everywhere nowadays.
The company knows that someone testing positive and spreading infection within the plant, would be a catastrophe at this point. I'm sure they've had the occasional employee test positive; with the number of people who work there, it's inevitable.
My own situation inherently involves visiting multiple workplaces. That's a risk factor in itself, which I am quite aware of. Fortunately, it's less than 24 hours before that risk starts going down ...
