The awkward question: While we are supposed to stay home many do have to go out. During Wave 1 most washrooms were closed. With partial openings at restaurants things got better. Are they being closed again in wave 3?

I know a guy with an 8 hour bladder. I'm hopping from foot to foot in less than half that.

Most places around here are open for take-away, and you can go inside to order, or to use the washroom. It doesn't seem to be an issue.

Downtown doesnt have a lot of bathrooms available. Restaurants have all chained them off, they are locked in the path. Not a big deal for a riding adventure obviously.

Hate to say it, but to be blunt, I’ve taken to just pissing in what would probably be inappropriate places. If every single business is going to lock their bathrooms and prevent people from being able to relieve themselves (especially guys like me working on the road all day long, it’s not only restaurants but factories as well closing off facilities), well, really sorry, but a few months back I decided if I take a leak beside your building or in the trees or whatever after I leave I’m not going to feel bad about it anymore. I’m not going to drive around for hours and hours anymore holding it and risking a bladder infection or something.

Some of these people closing bathrooms to road-dwellers should try it on for size some day, going 8-14 hours with no bathroom and see how much they like it.

#2 has become a bigger problem. I’ve not yet had an emergency, but have come freakin close a few times. Thankfully I work 8 hour days now and Mother Nature is playing nice with that happening at times I'm in the yard.

Sincere apologies to Samuel becket for the plagiarism.

Waiting for Trudeau. Act 1

Boy to Vladimir and Estragon: Mr. Trudeau told me to tell you he won't come up with anything meaningful this evening but surely tomorrow.

Waiting for Trudeau Act 2

Waiting for Trudeau Act 3

Make yourself an emergency kit. Maybe not ideal...but better than nothing .

Should I give away the Campa potti with the tent trailer, or keep it for emergency stops?

Problem is that it's a nice to have, that you don't use often, and it needs to be stored somewhere for years on end.

I've been on the road off and on for 30+ yrs , always stop at a hotel to use the restroom. Not a motel , a hotel. There is one at every hyway exit. Never a line up, always open , sometime free cologne.
If its the am , you can grab a newspaper and usually net a coffee to go in the lobby.

walk in confidently and if its a better place with doormen , give them a wave to acknowledge you see them and walk with a purpose. I have crapped in a $2500 a night hotel lobby in Monaco. All the newspapers were French, fuckers....

They aren't writing tickets to apparently not be bothered with the enevitable appeals and likelyhood to tickets just being tossed out. Issue some 10k tickets and let fearless Fred and his merry band spend some money on a lawyer , even if it gets tossed later. Just the thought of $500 fine would keep a few from dumbing it up. Lawyers need a paycheck too.

another toothless law.

Park over night in Oakville on a residential street, $55.00 almost guaranteed. Do something actually dangerous and life threatening and get a warning .

If i were able to, i would like to go to these gatherings and hand out masks

Had one emergency situation since all this started. No bucket but each car has a toilet paper roll just in case.

as for dum dums...

“Oshawa mother Melissa Mccann decided to join the gathering as well. She says although she understands concerns surrounding COVID-19 — she believes limiting how children socialize is hurting more than helping them”

I wonder how losing a parent or grandparent to covid would affect them. ?

This is the pinnacle of “It won’t happen to me” syndrome.

Anyhow, on the topic of using bathrooms in expensive hotels, while on vacation in New York City once I dropped a deuce in a public bathroom in the lobby of Trump Tower. ?

I have zero sympathy for these people. They are part of the problem, not the solution. Your kids don’t get you a special treatment card. Every single one of us is a potential vector in a pandemic involving a very infectious disease. COVID doesn’t magically say “oh, it’s a kid, let’s avoid them”.

Bush party in grey county is turning into a nightmare. Symptomatic teenagers attended. 70 cases and counting. They are asking the county to assume they are infected for 48 hours to contact trace as it is spreading faster than they can trace.
