Does anyone here snowboard???

Well, I guess you can read about what snowboard, binding, boots are good...but until you really try it...you never know :)

It's like learning how to perform a surgery on youtube videos...(still managed to become a doctor :D)

Anyone wanna hit Revelstoke? Need a crew ASAP. It's about 1400 for flight, lift tickets, hotel and shuttle until Nov 1.

My board for this season can't wait to get on it!

How to wax your board

WOW I'd love to wax dat ***...

I was pretty heavy into snowboarding a few years back, but the accessibility of the whole thing while living here in Ontario ruined my taste for it. Pretty much everyday on a hill around here will cost you $100, between gas, lift tickets and food for the day. Which is ludicrous for Ontario/Buffalo riding.

Now it's come down to one or two major trips per year. I got a buddy that lives in Van city, so I'm gonna try to plan a BC trip this winter :)

I copped a Never Summer Heritage (with the carbon top sheet) last year for a STEAL...can't wait to rip on that thing again

Same, I've been boarding for around 10 years....it's just not that exiting for me any more. At least not exciting enough to warrant a huge drive for a crap hill. I'll still do it if I have some friends going and it's more of a social trip. I'm thinking going Alpine could rejuvenate my passion for it.

^^^ I hear you, coming from Quebec, ontario's skiing is depressing.

I still get the bluepass cause its the best way to get some skiing going on a regular basis, and costwise, well after 2 months of usage ive paid the pass back. (it's conditioning for the bigger trips lol)
We bring our own beer and food and eat at the car (parking up top the mountain)

And then i try to do 2 other 'bigger trips'. So i guess my budget for the whole year for skiing is about $600-800 (gas not included...as i split it most of the time lol)

Getting a pass makes it so much cheaper. There is no way i would through away $60 everytime i went, just for a lift pass.

Well, the last few years I've gone under like 5 days the whole year. Last year I went like once or twice so it's just not worth it. I also like hitting up blue around 1pm - 9PM. With the 5 X 7 you're limited to nights only on weekends so can't do that. What about when your friends want to go during the day? Sorry, I can only go at night? There is also black out periods, early in the seasons lift tickets are only like $20 anyways, and you're limited to a single hill which sucks. I like hitting up Moonstone sometimes for variety too in addition to the occasional Tremblant trip.

I've honestly only gotten a 5X7 like one, maybe two years.....can't remember.

Next year when I have a better idea of how often I can go, I'll be getting a pass. Right now it will be a spontaneous outing for me.. half day here half day there, sometimes night and sometimes day. And with the global warming we get who knows lol

These used to be a great deal when they first came out as they were literally two tickets for the price of one. Now it's more like two tickets for the price of one and a half and if you buy too many and don't use them by end of season, you're boned. I never buy them any more and usually towards the end of the season someone I know has extras and I end up buying them off them for even less $.

Whats cool also is you can bring a friend along with you so you can split the price :)

Are the double downs anytime any day? That's the biggest issue with buying a season's pass for me....it will vary from day, evening, weekends and holidays. And an "any time" pass isn't something I will get my money's worth from at this stage.
