While mulcairs analysis works best for the libs, prorogueing just as trump gets inaugurated would be one final kick in the nuts for the citizens. I can only hope that the GG stops toeing the line and tells the big baby to f off.Proroging parliament until October would make the Freedom Convoy look like a play date in Ottawa.
I agree. She's a spoiled ***** who has made a small fortune off of the backs of Canadians.Don't buy it for a second. She was happy enough to stand there and blow through all the warnings before.
She's throwing him under the bus because she's ****** he fired her. And then he expected her to stand there and take the hit for the bad news on the way out the door.
Exactly. Trump charges in blustering and everyone craps themselves. In the ensuing chaos people start giving concessions and making threats before any ink is on the paper.Best just to ignore him. 6 months from now he'll forget he even said them.
She will have a fine career continuing to eradicate the middle class as an advisor and consultant in the WEF.

Move to America then and leave Canada for the proud Canadians. My official response: I can move to Sedona no questions asked, have all the guns I want, and go out to the desert and shoot them any time I please? Where do I sign. Canada is no longer Canada, so I don't see a downside.
At the end she had no choices, a textbook example of too little too late. There can only be one captain of the ship. Trudeau is responsible and ultimately accountable. All this name calling is silly. Freeland did her job until she wasn't able to,given ridiculous choices by the leader.
She made the right choices.
The prime minister appoints the cabinet. Control freaks want yes men and women not intelligent challengers of thought. PM also appoints the head of the RCMP (Scary). Cabinet ministers appoint the CRTC directors (Degrees of separation). All that power in the hands of an incompetent narcissist. There can only be one captain of the ship. He may be a fool….but do we really want an election right now? We have an administration south of us that is threatening huge tariffs (which I don’t think will happen) and instead of dealing with that mess we’ll have our parties focused on election instead of responding to that threat.
We? You do know whose in charge of navigating 'that mess' right? He may be a fool….but do we really want an election right now? IMO…wait a month after Trump takes office, figure out WTF is actually going on. If things are calm, then trigger the election.
If hits the fan and tariffs do come into effect, we need to focus on how to navigate that mess before having all eyes and focus on an election while the economy crumbles under the tariffs.
Just my 2 Canadian pesos.
Yes I do. But I would still prefer to NOT have an election while this issue arises. We? You do know whose in charge of navigating 'that mess' right?
It is if the person leading the response doesn't even have the confidence of his own party.Yes I do. But I would still prefer to NOT have an election while this issue arises.
I’m all for getting rid of JT. But is 1-2 months going to make much of a difference?
I want them to focus on dealing with the task at hand. Not have our economy bombed completely while they fight amongst themselves.
I know I’m asking too much…but I’m a firm believer we need to have a united front in the face of this threat.
We should have had an election months ago and the new government in place when trump took office. That is sell-out Singhs legacy. Supporting terrorists and screwing all of the citizens in the country in the quest for his pension.Yes I do. But I would still prefer to NOT have an election while this issue arises.

I totally agree with everything you’ve said. She, as well as the rest of the Liberal cabinet ministers have been standing behind JT for the last nine years nodding their heads and enabling this clown. They all need to own that. I hope everyone remembers who they are in the next election and cast their vote accordingly. I also include Jagmeet Singh in that group and will be happy to see the last of him. He has absolutely no credibility left. Just take your pension and GTF out of Ottawa.Jumping ship at the last possible minute before it goes down does not absolve these people of everything that they’ve done in the last nine years.I agree. She's a spoiled ***** who has made a small fortune off of the backs of Canadians.
I find the resignation a bit insincere, and I'm guessing the series of events leading up to it are not exactly as she has portrayed. CF has been a bobblehead for JT since 2015, anointed with the prestige and privileges associated with Deputy PM and Finance Minister. She'd been called a lapdog, bobblehead, and other things -- it's clear she's been the PM's BFF.
I figure she was simply afraid to deliver this Fiscal update. The party is crumbling, the rats are fleeing the ship, what better political option did she have than claiming she was fiscally responsible and he made her do it (explode the deficit). Remember, she told the world the deficit would be $40B in her spring outlook. In 6 months it exploded to $60+B, this happened under her watch.
She's just another rat fleeing the ship. Im guessing she was afraid to present the update, there was an exchange, she realized there was no wins available and tossed the party under the bus to save her skin.
