Poilievre has had a number of governing positions including:
While in opposition post Harper defeat, he was the shadow minister for Finance, Jobs, and 20nce 2022 the PC partly Leader and the Leader of the opposition.
- Secretary to the President of the Treasury Board (2006–2008)
- Secretary to the PM (2008–2011)
- Minister of State for Democratic Reform (2013–2015)
- Minister of Employment and Social Development in 2015
Trudeau had 7 years as a backbencher MP when he was elected. PP had more leadership experience before his 27th birthday than JT had when he was elected.
Don't you think it shows?
Won't defend JT's lack of experience when he was elected, that's well known, but as far as PP goes ... No, it doesn't. In any case, lack of any discernible policy to move forwards on climate change (PP "axe the tax" is a backwards move) means hard no from me, and Harper's muzzling of scientists the last time a Conservative was prime minister (Harper) reinforces the hard no.
I don't like any of the available choices.
