Daily sports car?

A new mini is one of the best cars you have ever had? What stinkers were you stuck with in the past? They are fun for a few years while under warranty but I have never heard an older one described as the best.
Well, I can say this: I like the R56 and R53. It does look good, has a nice driveability and by taking proper care of, it will take whenever I need to go (as any cared car will).

Brother was a Mini tech for the first two generations and, well, I was pretty thoroughly convinced to stay away. He ended up turning more than a few of them inside out. He *did* agree they were at least fun to drive lol

I sincerely did not about this club. Thanks for letting me know... Whenever I got my Spitfire or my TR6 sure I gonna hang around... Just got my 07 Cooper S that, well, not that exciting but is one of the best cars I ever had.

There are a few MINI members of the club and even some that have MX-5/Miata and some that just drive their grocery getters.

Heck, the missus and I have a classic bug we plan to bring out on a few events. Point is to have fun and enjoy the ride.

The better half is easier on the eyes and more organized. I tend to ramble on just a bit longer than I should.

BMW parked illegally? That's not rare.
The irony is this street is practically never ticketed. Its a narrow 1-way that has parked cars on both sides ever since the condo went up.

I would have rolled the dice too.

@Georg3__ why, what's wrong with the WRX? I was thinking of changing up my car and I like the AWD of Subaru and the manual transmission...please do tell...
Reliability makes the germans look like toyota. Quite sad really. Less high-strung subies like the cross-trek are less likely to need a head gasket (avoid the cvt). Subaru is overpriced for what they offer imo (which is supported by Georges comment of big discounts).

Owned a Subaru once. Once was enough.

Had one of those too! This was around 2000, the kids loved that car.

I liked my WRX for the 6 months I had it. I actually miss it, but it’s 100% correct (as GTAM warned me) that it’s too much for the street.

Good fun though.

I’ve owned a couple of Subaru car. The older legacy was better than the newer crosstrek

The last one was a crosstrek that was great in the winter but after four years the AC went for a crap and three wheel bearings had to get replaced, plus the struts was beat out of it

Yup, wheel bearings and suspension components and not just one time. Throw in a head gasket for fun.
