Daily sports car?

Babying the wife’s Si. This thing just sips the gas if you’re east of the go-pedal!

That’s right I remember she bought one a while back.

How is she enjoying it? I’ve always had a soft spot for Si sedans.

She loves it! She rips around in it and constantly jokes that it’s only a matter of time before she loses her license….and I agree!
Car has a little under 14k kms and she still gets a stupid grin on her face when she’s being a hooligan.

First time back in a long time. It's unreal how many people are talking about cars that have nothing to do with sports cars in this thread, lol

I seem to get crappy fuel mileage probably because I drive like 30 km per week (ok, 36 if I use my car for groceries on Saturday)...too much stopping and starting...
engine needs to get up to operating temp for most fuel efficiency as well.

The ECM don’t even start to monitor the systems till after warmup period

They also intentionally burn more fuel after start to get cat up to temp quickly. With infrequent short trips, that fuel may substantially affect average mileage as it does nothing useful for moving the car.

That could be why most of the in-car computers I've seen are always off by a bit. (higher)

My newer 5.0 Mustang has a parameter in the engineering mode menu that allows the ECU to apply it against that calculated higher mileage ... if I recall mines at .9xxx. I've got it now where the car's calculated fuel economy is pretty well spot on to my actual fuel economy ... which is to say about 13.7l/100km.

I was close to pulling the trigger on one those with x-plan pricing, GT Fastback, but RWD and the fuel economy scared me away lol

But a STI is way worse

edit - JEEZ only 2.49% for up to 72 months... Wow cheap

Yeah I wouldn't consider it a "daily sports car" as per the thread title although someone on the street has a 2015 GT that he daily drives ... had an older previous gen GT that he did the same on.

Mine's a fair weather toy only but damn I miss it as much as I miss riding my bikes ... I do enjoy it on a handful of more days than I do the bikes as I'll take it out when the roads are dry & clean but too cold for the bikes.
