Covid booster

Hospitals are trying to come up with a suitable policy for their staff. If they followed Provincial guidelines there wouldn't be enough staff available to work. They are trying to determine where the guidelines can be altered with minimal risk.
I imagine that nursing homes are probably in a sorry state at the moment.
Remember when the army found that people were being neglected?
I don't think there's been a mass influx of talent into the sector since then.

A cross examination would put the burden on you. But here's a good read if you want to understand the Myocardia stuff: https://www.publichealthontario.ca/...tis-pericarditis-mrna-vaccines.pdf?sc_lang=en
Why would you cross examine me about your unsupported claims? Shouldn't you be the one providing support for them?

I don't make unsupported claims. I tossed you a bone on the Myocardia stuff. The rest is
  • You can search the Internet to understand how Ro is calculated -- simple math
  • You can ask any health care worker, or turn on the evening news to see how Nurses are coping with antivaxers
  • You can check a hundred stats sites to see a myriad of stats as to how vaccinations have helped/hurt the spread, infection rates, death rates by vaxed/unvaxed
Of spend a few hours getting a Facebook Epidemiology Degree, then come back and educate me (us).

The hospital protocol is if you are staff and have mild symptoms, keep coming to work until tested and made to stay home .
If everyone that sniffled , coughed , had seasonal dust mite allergies stopped coming to work because it ‘may’ be Covid the hospitals would collapse.

The hospitals aren’t operating like a lot of civil servants where you stay home for everything.

These numbers are nuts. Huge growth explosion in cases all over the world in many places.
Exponential growth is a ***** when it comes to disease. I'm not sure why so many people are shocked at the numbers. Once you start to hit the curve you quickly end up on the moon without radical changes in exposure.

Would it be too morbid to start a poll?

I don't think people who choose not to get the covid 19 vaccine or the booster are selfish.
Forcing people to covid 19 vaccine or booster so you can feel safer is selfish....no?
If you worried about getting sick then you take the covid 19 vaccine/booster.
Think most people who choose not to get covid 19 vaccine or booster are not anti-vaxxer.

Examples of an equation can be right a million times and be assumed right. All one has to do is show one erroneous example and it invalidates the million. Proving the error settles the argument. Proving another right answer just perpetuates it.

So people that drive safe and sober because they don't want to anyone hurt are selfish and people that drive recklessly, injuring others are unselfish?

since it seems many of the new Omni things are almost asymptomatic , for everyone that gets tested, or knows they have it, there are probably three dozen more that have no idea.
I know 9 people this week . I bet I know 36 more that dont know.

This **** is everywhere
Big "o" is spreading like a wildfire. I didn't have a single first level connection infected ever. In the last few weeks I count 15. 4 of those are in close family members who picked it up from separate places.

Lucky this one isn't a 'killer' version.

You have that backwards, not driving drunk is doing something for the greater good, driving drunk is selfish.

Thinks you do (or don't do) simply for yourself = selfish.

My wifes grandmother is in a nursing home in Port Perry.

They have 1 staff positive and 1 resident positive, as of the last testing round. As a result, they locked down all the residents to their rooms and prevented outings, meaning the original plans to have her here for Christmas today went out the window unfortunately.

Thankfully, last I've heard, the boosters all the residents got quite a while back seem to be doing their job as it's either not spreading, or if it (likely) is, they're asymptomatic.

How do the keep the residents in their rooms? Simple in theory, in practice almost impossible without violating all sorts of regulations.

Lots of hard working psw's. One on one care. All meals are brought to them. It's tough. Really tough with dementia or Alzheimer's.

Apparently they put a magnetic or velcro strap of some sort that residents can pretty much easily remove (to stay within the law) but does act as a small physical reminder.

In the end, some of the dementia residents wander anyways. The staff just works hard gently reminding them over and over again to please remain in their rooms, leading them back and redirecting, etc.

The people who do these jobs all deserve our praise, no question. I can't imagine right now.

My late Mom had a yellow magnetic barrier across her door. She put it up herself to keep the wanderers out. When my wife was in Freeport hospital in Kitchener for 7 weeks, she had to have one across her door to keep a few of the people out.Several times after a meal in the dining hall,we would come back and find someone going thru all her clothes and personals. The person would always be complaining that someone has been into "their" stuff.I have a lot of respect for psw's.Tough job.

Sarcasm font. Note the ?

An Alzheimer's patient could have a plate of food placed in front of them and not know they are supposed to eat it. They can't handle a fork or spoon. It can take an hour to spoon feed them. Sad. Kudos to the PSW's.
