That's fine, you're all on Team A then.
Actually, you bring up a good point. Maybe the military should be law enforcement for Team A. They should not have interaction with anybody as everybody should be locked up. That leaves all the police free to be Team B when the hordes come out of hibernation as the police are much more accustomed to dealing with the public and the military can return to bases to wait out the next three weeks.

I was sceptical at first about how serious this could be but I’ve read and educated myself and now I’m pretty scared to be honest. The latest news about aerial longevity is really not good.
The aerial and contact longevity is a huge issue. It actually has me contemplating gloves and a mask for shopping (so far I have been avoiding them and just hand washing).

Limited shopping trips means we are eating a pork loin a different way every day until it is done. The family is quickly losing happiness for pork loin. It is not my meat of choice, but that is what the store had on shopping day.

Buy a smoker... it adds a totally different dimension to pretty much any meat out there.
Pork loin is cheap, and a bit tiresome, but add in about $2 of charcoal and it's fantastic.

Hmm. Good plan. I can setup a ghetto smoker for one of the meals. No charcoal on hand though. Only propane and wood chips.

oh hell no.

gloves and sanitizer in my car always.

Mask is overkill imo, besides 90% of the people haven't a clue how to use it or realize they are not intended for re-use.

edit: sheesh spelling

I watched the Italian video. At 2:58 the guy is wearing a mask and it's crooked.

Will robots be putting the food in the bags? Self driving cars delivering it?
Lots of details. Everything in store wiped down. Customer calls in, pays for order by credit / debit and gives license number. Customer drives directly to store, opens trunk and stands clear. Store employee put bags in trunk and leaves. Ten foot pole if needed. Customer closes trunk and goes directly home. The store staff has to be negative and be isolated to maintain status. It won't happen soon. Store suppliers must have similar protocol. This will take ages to fully implement but partial beats nothing. Not going to be cheap.

What if the customer lives on the 23rd floor of a condo? Another problem if using shared elevators. Winches on balconies to haul deliveries up but not all condos have balconies.

Is it perfect? Nope

What are the alternates?

If it was true aerial transmission you’d need a respirator. Masks are a barrier for those infected so they don’t infect others. Surgeons wear masks so they don’t infect patients, TB sufferers wear masks so they don’t infect others. A proper respirator has a seal like a good scuba mask and if it’s a high end one then it has a pressure balance valve for the skirt seal too. I wore an NBC one once for a stint in a teargas chamber. Amazon has some russian surplus respirators if you want to scare the bejesus out of your neighbours.

I haven’t decided what to do when my home isolation is up but I’ll probably go shopping at midnight or in the early hours if some grocery stores are still open 24h. I’m still going to spend the summer mostly away from other people.

I figure we'll probably end up with it. Two of our kids work as grocery store cashiers.
Last time I was there, someone left a used kleenex on the conveyor.

What size of trailer could I pull with a FJR1300..?
You don't, you have a nice brand new clean one delivered to a campsite and that becomes home for a while,
get one with a garage on the back and now you even have a safe place to park your FJ (y)

Are there lots of dirty masks and discarded gloves just dropped and blowing around on the streets yet?

And so it begins.

There's one for sale on this site -- if you can get a hitch you could probably pull a small camper.

My 70's era Goldwing has a hitch, might be a project to hook it up this weekend, I have a trailer big enough to for 10 days of provisions, a tent and my dog. My Queen has an M2 licence but has only ridden a few hundred KM -- good time for her to learn -- maybe a good time to click the JBR off my bucket list.
