Spending a million or more on tracing technology and then have the gov't burn 30% of your revenue
he said he’s never seen so many rich people and corporations buy up businesses at the rate it’s going at now.
Now they just back people into lines ups . When you go in it's as busy as any day . The politicians are letting medical bureaucrats run the show . When this is all over they will blame them for the shut downs

At this rate movies like 'V for Vendetta' and 'Elysium' seem to be becoming a more probable reality : (
Lets see what happens by April of this year..!

Covid or Coved? Douggie and a few others pronounce with an E. Many pronounce with an I. According to Oxford, the I is the correct pronunciation, but you would think that if you were part of daily press conferences for hundreds of days, you would make sure you get the pronunciation correct.

At least he pronounces "folks" correctly /s

Australia didn't have a flu season this year, the quarantine of incomming visitors, social distancing and frequent hand washing/sanitizing i think effected the influenza virus just as much as covid. Problem is the protocols in place in canada aren't effective vs covid so I doubt the flu will have any trouble spreading here.
You can’t argue - Australia did better. The also had better tools and conditions. Thick border. Lower population density. Climate. But most of all are laws and a willingness of politicians to use them for effective lockdown.

Canadian politicians are dirty dancing with the COVID and the Economy at the same time, neither is winning.

Neighbours are members of a local Mennonite Church that has been ordered closed twice and fined twice.
They don't understand it. There has been no news of covid in their congregation.ugh

It's very difficult to compare the two....Canada and Australia are totally different in the border aspect. They're easy to control. You literally can't get into the country outside of a few major hubs. Here...frak every road b/w the US and Canada is an entry point. Sure there's controls, but it's practically impossible (not totally) to control it.

Also, appears that the people in Australia and NZ are more willing to play ball with the rules, instead of the idiots in North America. I'm just waiting for my friend to confirm whether he had to pay for the hotel in NZ while waiting out his quarantine, or was it covered by the gov't.

Technically it's a shortened form of COrona VIrus Disease, so if you pronounced COVID using the original words, it would sound like Caw-vaee-d...

This seems true to an extent, however there is also video online of peoples houses being raided by the police for posting online and trying to organize rallies like anti mask/BLM/quarantine etc... The govt took the lock down period VERY seriously.

They are defiantly creating 'Elysium' . The ultra rich look down on us like we are ants on an ant farm .

Tonights lotto jackpot is worth 70 million  one of the ants is about to get their big chance to leave the farm.

What lottery? I sometimes buy tickets when it goes over 50 as the odds of a decent payday improve (slightly) but I see 27 for Max and 6 for 649. Neither one draws on Monday.

I’d be happy with $5M and could retire with that amount. I’m a simple soul.

A Viper GTS here and a Porsche GT3 is all I need.....

Oh never mind, a 49-year-old credit risk manager won it :| guess he's out of a job.

I don't care if I hit 10M or 50M. I would much prefer if the lottery had a lot more 1M prizes and screw the 50M but I know that most people won't think that way. 1M wouldn't change anything for me now but makes a huge difference in the future.

Can we please just fire them all and put their pensions to covid expenses? Fack, they are all such entitled pricks. Giving them zero would be vastly overpaying for their "service". It's honestly hard to write fiction that is any dumber than the head of the ethics committee going on an international vacation during a pandemic.

Conservative MP David Sweet has resigned as chair of the House of Commons ethics committee after travelling to the United States over the holidays.

Sweet also travelled to the United States for an unspecified "property issue." But, the leader's office said, Sweet then decided to stay in the U.S. "for leisure" without informing the whip.

the Conservative leader in the Senate, Don Plett, took a personal trip to Mexico shortly after Christmas.
