Dropped.

I realize now, it is a bad picture.

Here, stock:

A friend of a friend (and multiple time MP candidate running for the CPC) has a black testarossa. Not my thing at all. I would rather own 355/360/430 and not be so concerned about the cost per mile. Smiles per mile are similar for me.

Testarossa , last car Enzo actually had input on the design?

Guy I occasionally sail with has a 993 wide body turbo, was off the road for a decade, he's doing a complete restoration, 30k later the tranny and brakes are done, they haven't started on the engine overhaul.
But he paid about 30 cdn , 30yrs ago, its worth about 135 cdn now. Not a bad investment

993 will be the last regular production Porsche model that will sell for more than it originally cost. Mass production after that makes it impossible for any modern Porsche to be a true collectible.

I dunno about that....one of my buddies dropped 70k to be granted a chance at an allotment of a GT3 RS(?) .... he wasn’t selected so he got his money back. Apparently that thing appreciated like mad, but it’s way beyond my pocketbook so never really followed it closely.

I can see that. But I meant regular production, not limited. Carrera GTs sell for twice what they originally sold for as well. 918 probably will appreciate as well, but those are all limited numbers.

Huh? Priced a 918 lately? Weissachs Are up 50-100%

Want to see something nuts? Go look at the Benz G Wagons. last year you could drive it for 3 years and sell it for more then you paid for it new.

At the valet job i once asked an owner of one about the appreciation, he said the supply is super limited here in Canada.

918: 918 units
Carrera GT: 1270 units
GT3 RS: 1500 units
993: 30,000+? units

Ohhhh the sound out of those things is phenomenal. Pretty sure I’ve only seen a local drug dealer driving one in our old neighbourhood.

I'm guessing you're lumping the limited numbers AMG black series in as non production cars, too.

yes they are a hoot to drive. the seating position is very odd and it's very boxy, hard to describe.

I remember one time this guest dropped it off at valet, i jump inside to go park it. Now the guests drop it on Richmond then they have to walk about 30ft and around the corner to the front doors of the restaurant (on Bay). So you gotta be careful when driving away because typically they can still see/hear you.

Anywho, i jump in this thing and get rolling, i'm going through the intersection and this thing is making an enormous racket; "BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH" and i'm thinking, what in the hell man, owner of this Benz must think im a hooligan. As i get on the other side of the intersection i look down and it's holding the gear at around 6 grand rpms. Guy handed it over to me in sport mode, i would have had to use the paddle shifters to kick it up a gear.

I know, i know, shoulda checked. But when dinnertime hits and you've got 4 cars lined up waiting to get their tickets on Richmond street during rush hour, you just kinda get in and go!

Guy never said a word to me when he left, made $20 tip and moved on lol.

I find the sound of all the new Mercedes are awesome when you’re on the throttle when it shifts

In 2011 for a few weeks, I worked part time as a car jockey at Park n Fly and it was the most fun minimum wage job I ever had. Racing around in other peoples cars in the winter!
I would drive about 30 cars a night and go from an Audi, to a Lexus, then a Tempo to a Jag and so on. Some of the car jockeys there were very talented drivers, but severely broke due to their addiction to customizing their own Civics and Subaru’s.

Not quite driving Ferrari’s and Porsche’s, but it did give me spending money to go backpacking in the Middle East!
