Some towns don't even welcome people from Toronto...... then we let in how many international travelers?????
Because our federal government is incompetent.

My last project we had a LOT of people coming in from overseas and the US. Every single one of them had a letter from the company/project that they are 'essential' and that they do not have to adhere to the 14 day quarantine.Because our federal government is incompetent.
A friend works for a cemetary. They needed to bring someone in from the us to do a job that takes two days. They are paying them for the 14 days they sit in a hotel and the two days of work. Not sure what the job is that requires that level of expense but it's happening now.My last project we had a LOT of people coming in from overseas and the US. Every single one of them had a letter from the company/project that they are 'essential' and that they do not have to adhere to the 14 day quarantine.
However, even though they were exempt from the Federal quarantine requirements, the project itself wouldn't let them set foot on site until they finished the 14 day quarantine. They would be entering an isolated site with lot of people in close quarters. The risk was too high. I left, but just found out 5-8 people are sick with COVID right now and it's not looking good.
I saw that and lol edstrip clubs are moving to curbside pick-up only.
Thanks for the official list. As expected more stupidity as to what is in and out and holes you can drive a truck through.detailed list in the pdf: https://www.ontario.ca/page/covid-19-provincewide-shutdown
urgent and immediate action begins in 5 days.
side of STD with your food/beer?strip clubs are moving to curbside pick-up only.
The club I drive by regularly has been open for a while serving food with no girls. Not really sure what is going on there. It must be laundering money as I have not seen many vehicles there and I can't imagine most people would go to the rippers for a meal without dessert.strip clubs are moving to curbside pick-up only.

"Closure of all indoor and outdoor sports and recreational fitness facilities except for: Facilities operated or for the sole use of high performance athletes"
So if you make people do a test to prove they are "high performance" you can allow access. If that is anything like the bar to be an ebike, being able to move under your own power should be sufficient.
"Outdoor recreational amenities permitted to open include: o Parks and recreational areas o Baseball diamonds o Batting cages o Soccer, football and sports fields o Tennis, platform tennis, table tennis and pickleball courts o Basketball courts o BMX parks o Skate parks o Golf courses and driving ranges o Frisbee golf locations o Cycling tracks and bike trails o Horse riding facilities o Shooting ranges, including those operated by rod and gun clubs o Ice rinks o Snowmobile, cross country, dogsledding, ice-skating and snow-shoe trails o Playgrounds o Portions of parks or recreational areas containing outdoor fitness equipment o Tobogganing hills and skating trails"
So golf courses are allowed to open in January (rehashed list from spring lockdown?). Skating trails seems to be much worse than a ski hill as by definition everyone occupies a small space with no opportunity for distancing. Playgrounds are open this time.
To be fair, in the spring, the risk to spread via contact was much less well studied. At this point, I think almost everybody has decided that indirect contact transmission (infected person to object to you and then you get infected) is so exceedingly rare that is doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. The playgrounds/outdoor exercise equipment thing from spring was so dumb. God forbid we let people do some chinups in a park, the bars are usually 6 feet apart already anyway.
A tiny bit of context is that ski hills are typically located outside the GTA and keeping them open moves people from hotspots to other regions. Skate trails and ice rinks do pose a hazard when a bunch of snot nosed kids who can't skate are crashing into each other and spreading cooties this way.So golf courses are allowed to open in January (rehashed list from spring lockdown?). With the exception of the trail under the gardiner (does it still exist?), the rest are destinations as well. It was just strange that they were specifically approved.A tiny bit of context is that ski hills are typically located outside the GTA and keeping them open moves people from hotspots to other regions. Golf courses are open if they offer other activities, since courses would not allow damage to the fairways or greens. Disc Golf seems to be a good winter sport and the golf course can use their grounds to host a Disc Golf course on the outer rough areas and still keep the greens and fairways protected.
Playgrounds and tons of other parks amenities are self regulated amenities. It seems that after the spring lockdown when playgrounds were closed, that the health advice was to keep these open to allow for some exercise and outdoor stimulation.
Not saying I agree with any of it - these are just some considerations.
I didn’t mean share with the public
i meant to share the formula with each other
If you bring home more balls than you lost...do you win? I used to find more when I searched for my lost ones. What golf courses in Ontario can open in January? All the ones I know about in my corner of the province all closed weeks ago. On the plus side....I’m not losing any more golf balls which is how I score my game.
Dammm, that industry really know's how to get on top of the situation...??strip clubs are moving to curbside pick-up only.
There was a strip club on Kipling / North Queen area back in the early 2000s...can't remember the name. Frak they had good steaks! Used to work at a dealership in the area and we'd go as a group every week...buy a beer and get a free steak! Couldn't beat that deal anywhere lol. Good times. Oh how I miss being young. The club I drive by regularly has been open for a while serving food with no girls. Not really sure what is going on there.
