Either way, left is left, right is right. If you look at how just about every first world country has flattened the curve, and then kept it somewhat under control even when lifting restrictions, you'll see that masks feature prominently.I had thought PP was referring to instances happening in Canada. US is a whole other nest of wackos on both sides.
When it comes to the "muh freedumb!" and "muh rights" being infringed upon, and then bitching and moaning about not being let into places due to it, well, that whole attitude is stepping everyone else's rights and freedoms too. Businesses are by and large privately owned. They get to set the rules. Just like when someone comes to my house, they need to take their shoes off before proceeding past the landing. My house, my rules -- don't like it? Don't come in.
It's really kind of simple, and I honestly cannot grasp how people cannot understand it. You don't want to wear a mask? Fine. Place orders for everything you want to buy online and have it delivered, or do the whole curb side pick up thing.
You don't believe that masks help, look at every major first world country's health advisories (well, except the USA - they're so F**KED up by partisanship the can't agree on the fact that water is wet) - masks work. Yes, at the initial outbreak the health units had it wrong when they said masks weren't necessary. The study of the virus has evolved. We know more, but not everything, not by a long shot...
Ask any adult on the planet (aside from Trump) if they've ever made a mistake, and have done things to rectify it. I can guarantee you everyone has.
