Copy of the M Test (M2X) checklist!

Passed my M this morning in Burlington. Route was the same as the previous posts. Examiner was good at keeping things real and was more or less focused on the rules. Didn't need to engage both brakes and I could use my hand for adjusting the visor. All in all a good day!!

This probably is the better place to post this:

Question about bike condition when doing this road test. I recently bought a used 04 f4i that has been modified. Previous owner damaged it (cosmetic) and did modifications, including changing the rear brake/signal lights.
I just noticed this evening that one of the lenses fell off and the LED's are fully exposed.

Will the official at MTO deem my bike unfit??? and therefore unable to do the test?

I have my road test in about two weeks.

Any info is greatly appreciated. Attached are a couple of pics. A little hard to see but the LEDs are still red...

Are those small lights integrated turn signals? I would imagine that the bigger problem would be a lack of a license plate light, as long as the brake light is still red.

Passed M2X in Kitchener this afternoon, thankfully without much issue. The route was the same as previously posted - test centre, left onto lackner, left onto ottawa, conestoga parkway, exit at bruce, right onto frederick, right onto edna, conestoga parkway, exit at ottawa, right onto river road, left onto holborn, right onto shaftsbury, left onto oldfield, back at test centre.

Feeling good. There were 5 other bikes there so we were all huddled together for group support and pro-tips. Congrats to all.

Passed my M with Humber today. Awesome course.

Was that at the North Campus, or Hershey? We had a great day for testing yesterday, given what everyone went through on Saturday morning.

Hershey. Ya, Sat morning was brutal. Riding there in the dark, torrential rain was not so much fun, lol.

BUt I saw from your other post that Frank Jr. kepy you entertained. I'll be sure to pass on your comments. It's always great to hear when people have such a good time.

That would be great! He really was an awesome instructor. Very good public speaker, clear instruction, serious where need be, but also made everyone feel very relaxed with humour.

For anyone taking the M2X, if you can find out when this guy is instructing, it would be to your benefit to try and get in his course.

Edit... I just saw Frank replied to my post in the Humber or RTI thread. I didn't know you were on here! I guess this is more free advertising for you, Frank, lol...

I've heard that people come from all over Ontario to hear Frank's material!!

Just a followup to Post #564.

Did the test this morning at Downsview and they didn't have a problem with the missing piece on my taillight.
Happily passed with the Filipino examiner... though it was extrmely hard to hear what he was saying.

Was fairly easy.. asked me to go to the centre lane on the highway, then back to the right. Route was posted here multiple times.

Advice to those going to do it:

1) Relax!
2) Bobble-head! Keep your head constantly moving. Doesn't hurt you to double your blind spot checks/left-right-left's.

Just passed my test in Aurora in the driving rain. The tester is a tricky bugger, after saying in the preamble that there would be no trick questions he asked me to do a second lane change on the highway when two cars were coming up to pass me in the middle lane. I just held off until they passed to do it, and he was happy.

I did the test this morning on the spur of the moment after getting a date yesterday afternoon. All I did was read this thread last night and the MTO handbook to prep, so thanks to all the posters for the good information.

Asking you to do a lane change isn't a demand to "do it now". Part of what the examiner is observing is your judgement skills. He needs you to do a lane change in each direction on two separate highway sections. It's up to you to determine if it's safe. On many routes, the highway sections are short and they have to give the directions when possible. It's not up to them to determine if it's safe, it's your responsibility. That should have been part of his preamble, and it should have been included in the directions to a lane change: "Mudhudhudhu, when it's safe to do so, please do a lane change to the left, and a lane change back to the right. A lane change left and right when it's safe to do so." That's not a trick.
Congratulations anyway, you obviously did it correctly!
