Civic vs. 600

i read the first few pages of this thread... the most I can get out of is "my brother's friend's neighbor's coworker has a ________ (fill in the blank) that can beat a 600!"

then i skip to the last few page... and still not a single race report yet!! :roll:

This is kind of stupid (I can't believe I feel into the trap of this thread) there is always a faster something out there wether it's a bike a car or whatever. Bottom line in my opinion if this car supposedly can run a solid 10 second quarter lets say, I would not have a problem in the world racing the guy. If you've got a Civic on the street that makes enough power that once the wheels finally hook it can still run tens at the track the god damn thing won't hook for it's life on the street, and another thing if this car runs 10 at the track there is no god damn way it's pulling hard after 120 (mph anyway) on the highway. I have a buddy of mine that I took a shot against in his 9 second car and he ate me alive on the street but on the highway I was doing over 200 before he could even get off the on-ramp, mind you this car was rear wheel drive with skinnies up front (no turning ability) so it could work out to be a bit different. That car hooked like a bat out of hell with the front sky high but on the street in would lay a strip about a half block long. I guess it could go anyway but I can say from my experiences that the only thing that ever took my bike was that car and a Porsche Bi-Turbo (yeah I was stupid enough to try it out LOL)

That show was on sooooo many years ago anyways, the garbage with MikeP. I know enough guys that wanted to race that guy but he was like the Phantom and they could never find him (Hmmm I wonder why?) Man those were the good ol' days until the rice burners started coming around and eventually brought the helicopters with them. The proof is in the pudding, what kind of a tool would invite cameras along to a street race, you would get a shot in the face from some guys I use to know if you even had a still camera in your hands.

either way i hate civic's and i hate the attitude that goes with the ppl who drive them..... but that being said... i believe from ppl i personally know, that his civic would give a 600 a good run for the money

If it is the guy I know...his name is Mike P., and he runs 9 seconds with that thing. He has 650hp under the hood and is sponsored to race. TLC had a show about him and his buddies street racing in Woodbridge back in the day. Dont race for a lot of money as you will most likely lose unless he screws up at the beginning. Also...dont risk messing up yourself or your bike for some guy who wants to make money like that.

Some one asked about a white civic Mike and Matt's are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head....

Is Marco P still working on DSM's been out of the scene a looong time

marco has help me make my talon have 331hp with 319 pft to all 4 wheels . marco knows his sh*t and if he has built the civic i should would not want to race him with a stock 600 for cash..this guy has built 8 and 9 sec. cars. :D btw most street riders (bikes) would be lucky to hit high 12 sec. it the 1/4 mile anyway.

No Marco had nothing to do with the civic... He loves the DSM and rotary stuff with big Turbos!! :D
 
IM guessing you guys are talking about Mat, he has a white HB with GSR Turbo i think, (b18c1 or c5) i think he makes about 450hp to the wheels apparently. now if he can hook that up with FF and a light ass car is a diffrent story. I'd say RACE and smoke his civic ass

LOL u guys have no clue.

I used to hang out and Street race with most of the peeps from TSR and good old GTASR back in the day when i owned a 3s.

Fastest street civic ive ever seen beat a low 12 sec stealth by 1/2 a car length.

Not going to mention who, but that stealth had over 500hp and it was AWD.

Civic hatch had tuned b18c5, turbo, Nos, rust holes thru body to make it go faster and ran high 11's at the track with slicks...theres not too many street civics as fast as that...and if there is, i havent seen it yet.

So if a 600 supersport can beat high 11's. then yea id put my money on the bike for sure.
 
my buddys, friends, cousin has a car that will beat any bike. it runs low 6's on street tires and still has space for groceries.

low 6's and street legal? maybe 0-60' not 1/4...

hahaha my uncles brothers, daughters, sister who just married her uncle has a hemi that runs 7's
