My boss got a q10 this week. First impression was the keyboard is awesome.
We quickly realized that Bb has progressed much further down the path of "we are smarter than you so piss off". The way she wants things setup, each device/computer grabs emails but leaves a copy on the server to allow the other devices to get it later. She would then intentionally keep different emails in different locations (ie. personal emails at home, very few emails on bb, all emails at work). Bb decided that all your devices must share the same mailbox now so you cannot delete from the bb without erasing from the server. It almost got sent back that day. The bold allowed you to select whether to leave on the server or not, bb has now removed that possibility.
With a share price of 6.xx, it's amazing that they can lose 8.xx per share in a single quarter. How is that even possible? And then the price jumps by 15%. Crack I tell you.

I do recall them mentioning something about how there was some update that was supposed to make everything better but our IT department has the device locked down so they can't install it. Maybe it will get an update later.
At least one guy still wants to buy a second phone and plan because he hates the BB so much he doesn't even want to use it for free.
I've seen the guys get calls and try to answer it only to have the screen fail to respond so the caller hangs up or goes to voice mail before they manage to get the phone to pick up.

If you notice precisely when the stock jumped, it was when Mr Chen gave his speech. The "street" likes what they see and hear. This guy is clearly on the right path and executing quick... axing management, hiring QUALIFIED people, making deals with Foxconn, etc.
It also helps that they increased their cash position this quarter. Nobody expected this.
Clearly a stark contrast from the last CEO who just spewed on and on about "mobile computing" but clearly lacked execution.

One arm of our company went to iphones and they all wish they were still on BB.
e-mail management is almost impossible compared with BB, glad my side stayed on BB and my Q10 is almost perfect. Best keypad ever and the hub and priority hub is excellent.
I have very little use for applications other than news and sports so I am not the ideal iphone user.

All of the above very happy with the Q10 is superior communication interface to anything else on the market.
But if you like your apps and your phone farkels android and Iphone is for you.
Also the HD calling on the BB is the best quality i have ever experienced.
all smart phones are pretty much useless in Canada however with the ****** expensive wireless data package. i had unlimited data when smart phones first came out now its costs a goddam fortune.
5 and 6 GB plans can be had for like $50. Not really that bad.

I have both z10 and q10. Z10 is my daily driver where q10 is my work phone. When your sending out a lot of emails there is absolutely nothing like a physical keyboard. But it's nice to have the screen real estate for surfing the Web as well as the touch keyboard on the z10 is also amazing. I have no regrets with either phone. Z10's are super cheap now too so can't really go wrong.

Still absolutely LOVE my Z10. Wouldn't trade it for the world. And with the latest beta OS (should be official next month) it now runs android apps naively. I have over a hundred installed and all run flawlessly. Certain android devices couldn't even run all of the android apps I have installed on my BlackBerry depending on their OS version so the line about not having apps no longer applies. I've yet to come across a single app I haven't been able to get as of late.

I did installed a bunch of android apps but when I tried to install harry's laptimer on my z10 it wouldn't work.
I don't care for Instagram personally but yes, it works.

What OS did you try it on? I'll give it a shot and see on this one.
Edit: wow a $9 app. Must be some laptimer. I'm not going to buy it just to test but if you want to send me the apk I'll let you know.

Will shave at least 2 seconds off your best lap time!
With the way data is consumed today in modern smart phones it is that bad. On my plan to add 5 GB plan to my phone it would cost me $40 just to add the plan i would still pay about 40ish for voice.
When i got my first smart phones (terrible htc WINDOWS phone) years ago i had unlimited data and all the same voice features for $60.
trust me, $9 dollars is well worth it

I had bough an Ipod just to have this app on it so it isn't a big deal, but I would like to have it on my Z10 as a back up at the track

Actually, knowing your corner speed through every corner, helps you understand where you need to practice more and your weak points, also comparing the line you took when you had good corner speed compared to the other line you took when the speed wasn't as fast is also a big help. knowing your fast laps compared to your slow ones do help your lap times and also knowing where you brake points are because the app gives you acceleration and braking telemetry, all this in the hands of someone that understand how to use the data and practice according to it, will shave a lot of time off every lap.
For example First session at Mosport, comparing that to faster laps helped me understand where I could increase corner speed (not a good example because it was a rainy day but you get the point..I think)

Yea it's looks great, but I don't ride track so it would have little benefit to me.
Anyway, happy to test it for you, I'm on 10.2.1.1925, and I can't tell you that A LOT of apps that don't work in your version now work.. as I said, yet to find anything that doesn't, so it's definitely worth a shot. You can send the apk to luc.bouillon@mobilenations.com if you like.

How can I update to 10.2.1.1925 - Mine is a company phone so maybe it has to be done through them.
