Bikes with character...

Way too much power, and way too much price for my needs.

@Baggsy good point about the 100+ hp. The MT09 was too stupidly fast for my needs/wants in Mode 2 (whatever HP that gets you. Mode 1 is highest.

BUT...the 821 was oodles more comfortable than the 796. I liked the 796, I enjoyed the power of the 796 but the seat was painful...
Nah the 1100 isn't overly powerful nothing like the mt09 never mind that is the 1200. Would be fun similar to the KTM you tried but lower.

It's the opposite for Harley's ... a couple of places here routinely go to the US and pick up HD's cheap to sell up here.
I think those non- HD places that look like HD dealerships buy up repo bikes in bulk from banks and lenders, and off lease bikes from HD finance.

I kinda like the Bolt -- to me it's what the Sportster should have evolved to. Simple, easy to ride, dependable, inexpensive, and not as boring as a pedestrian as Rebel.
I agree ... and I've heard a few that sound amazing. I've never heard anything bad about them (they are Japanese aftertall so gotta be reliable) but then again I haven't looked either.

I demoed a Bolt once somewhere. Was not impressed.
Still think a sporty in the line up would be fun....

I've been researching them recently because i've been looking to trade my bike for one plus cash. My issue with them is they don't have a tachometer from what i know, and they don't have a 6th gear which apparently they need becasue they're screaming at highway speeds. That said I'd still probably get one for the low price they usually go for on the used market. But if i ever wanted something better i'd probably go for an indian scout.

No let's not do that. That'll cost me 2k/year in insurance and i'm def not interested in that.

I'm not part of the GTAM ballers club.
What was your rate on it with Desjardins? I was around $1200 on it with them on a stand-alone, no discounts. On my other ins company’s with discounts I was still $1800-2600 same coverage. Pays to shop around, discounts or not.

Only called TD. Once I buy something I’ll call others as well, but if I find time tomorrow I’ll call Desjardins.

Fyi. The Monster is a "standard", not a supersport. Get some quotes for insurance. You might be surprised.

Not sure if you like the MV Augusta Brutale. This one seems well priced with a poor ad not even showing the nice side of the bike.
12000km for $6500

Dang. Character for days here. Sick price too. Something must be wrong with it

My fav colour combo! Love those wheels in that colour. However one requirement I have is ABS, and unless I’m wrong the FZ07 did NOT come with ABS. only the MT07. Could be wrong though.
