To my surprise, they have done an amazing job with addressing heat on the V4 Multi....presumably this is partially due to the deactivation of the rear cylinders when at stops in warm temps. It is the "coolest" Ducati i've owned....that's not to say the heat isn't there, but they've done great work managing it so that it is not uncomfortable in the slightest.Think i'm about 2,500kms into my V4SP2 and the only complaint I have is that it tries to incinerate my thighs, even at 130kms/hr. Worth it tho!
Mine also deactivates the 2 cylinders, the only reason it's even remotely ridable in traffic.To my surprise, they have done an amazing job with addressing heat on the V4 Multi....presumably this is partially due to the deactivation of the rear cylinders when at stops in warm temps. but they may not be the most useful ADVs ever made
It is certainly dressed like one. I think you know what I meantProbably because it isn't an ADV?

I've owned two Scramblers, the Sixty2 (400cc) - my first bike in 2016 - and the Desert Sled, when it first came out. Both great bikes. Loved the Desert Sled's taller riding position - could see over the endless GTA traffic. Both came with really good factory tires. Air cooled, they both ran hot, which I liked - kept me warm on cold days. Had lots of people come up to me to ask about the bike at gas stations. The one thing that I did not like on either bike was the gearbox. Maybe just personal preference - I find the gearboxes on the Suzukis I've owned much more to my liking than the Ducatis. Sold the DS after I decided that I'd only be doing track days going forward - I would absolutely still have one in my garage if I hadn't gone that route though. Great fun!Slightly…

Have an appointment for the Triumph tomorrow.
I’m learning that I have to buy cheap older bikes, because I seem to drop them too frequently to buy shiny new toys.Looks like KTM ownership is working out with their models and dealers popping up everywhere now.
@shanekingsley ballers!

But I would like to go sit on that bike to see how it fits me.
Is insurance by displacement a concern for you?

OR I still really like this one. despite those telling you to go for the 4V testastretta.
If you owned it, I would be jealous.

That is a sexy beast. 800cc is around $1100 so a 1L bike should be closer to $1300-1500 or so.I went to see the Monster S2R 1000 yesterday. It was nice. Showed some mileage but clean. Service records from Apex. Needs new tires. And for some reason I had to teach the current owner how to properly latch the tank back down?
Anyway, I lowballed him a bit but he considered it. Said he was waiting for a previous visitor to finalize a higher offer.
It sold last night (not to me)
It’s overkill, I’m just as happy on a 70 hp as I was on 180That is a sexy beast. 800cc is around $1100 so a 1L bike should be closer to $1300-1500 or so.
1L is a mental thing as I def don’t think I’m ready.
I have extensive experience with the handling of the CB300r… We have a bunch of them in our school fleet at the location I am usually at.I was looking for the CB500X and also looked at the CB300R.
My CBR250 is to this day one of my faves. Stupid fun and cheap to run, but obviously doesn’t keep up with anything (in my hands anyway).I have extensive experience with the handling of the CB300r… We have a bunch of them in our school fleet at the location I am usually at.
They are extremely nimble and capable bikes. By far my favourite of all the bikes we have. TBH, I don’t know if the 500cc version is worth the cost of the upgrade. The extra $2500 for the minor amount of ponies you gain vs. the weight gain, doesn’t make sense to me.
