It pisses me off to keep hearing about this S***T.... @ Femme....so sorry to hear this has happened to you.

What are these guys doing with all these stolen bikes? There must be a market for them somewhere...or are they parting them out?
 
suck to hear that. Unfortunately it seems that if thieves want it they will take it, alarms or lock will only slow them down a bit.

as to where the stolen bikes go

Black market dealers would pay about $2,000 for each stolen bike before having them dismantled, wrapped in plastic and shipped for resale in Caribbean and African nations and elsewhere under labels reading "household goods."

sometimes I have to SMFH at some of the comments people write on this forum.
you shouldn't have to give up your passion for riding because you live in a condo and some low life feels the need to take your property. People who act like your bike is only safe if you have a garage to park in should also realize that you could go out for a ride and park somewhere for a little and come back to not find you bike.

This s*@t can happen anywhere and anytime. All you can do is ensure you have adequate insurance and hope the insurance company gives you the best value for your bike.

Wow. Sorry for your loss. Reading this made me feel sick. I have the same bike that i am trying to sell .. i keep it in my locked garage and i have both wheels chained down. what did the police say? is the license plate visible in the video?

State farm covered $2000 in aftermarket accessories on my bike that they had no prior knowledge of.

Keep all your receipts etc. My bike got stolen about three weeks ago and my insurance told me to send them the receipts of all after market parts even stuff i bought off of kijiji. I kept the email conversations and send them those to show them the price.

This is ridiculous, and i know cops won't show up coz apparently they don't have the resources!!!

Very sorry to hear . . . . I get re aggravated every time I hear another bike stolen. Welcome to the club nobody wants to be a part of =/
It sounds like the same Caravan that stole my bike along with many others. I really hope these #$%^ers get whats coming.

Stat-Farm treated me very fairly, gave me value of the bike, after market parts ect. The $1000 deductible hurt me though. Best of lucky with the process.
 
Sucks. At least now you get the winter to think about your next bike. I'm a bit biased, but an 09+ cbr1000rr with abs is an all around great street bike with loads of midrange power.
 
I saw a guy somewhere that dropped their bike. So you shouldn't get an SS, or any bike for that matter!!

And don't live in condos! live in the suburbs and commute! if I have to be stuck in traffic forever so do you!
 
It's the first bike theft in the building. we've never had any other motorcycle thefts.

The sercurity was good....well I guess decent, now I don't think so.

I felt it was warranted. You don't call a chick a noob who can't ride/handle her bike and not expect to get a "go f urself", especially if it wasn't her! lol.

I'd love to see ya on a 1000 Femme, hopefully your insurance treats you good!

Dude you have issues it's not polite to insult someone when they just lost their bike and on top of that telling them they can't ride ......if you have nothing proper to say just indeed go f*****k yourself ....at least u may sympathized better with a lazy hand ..... Femme I am sooty to hear I really hope you find those ******** or get your new bike let us know how insurance treats u because I am with primmum as well
