Are you guilty of any of these motorcycle fashion faux-pas?

guilt for using sunglasses and rim tape.. i ain't riding on a bright sunny day without sunglasses.. my reflective rim tape makes me more visible at night time...

In the spirit of the article, only if you wear said Triumph jacket while riding the Honda.
what if my Honda has Triumph parts?? Lol cause it does.............

Sun glasses all the way!!! And when I get my iridium visor.. I'll still wear them!!:glasses7:

....... And sunglasses! Come on, that's more efficient than anything

+1 I'm pretty kool with my clear visor and sunglasses. Can;t believe this and this alone makes me a dweeb! Sheez..

Btw i was going to do the armor over a dress shirt is this oK?

Guilty of the armoured vest over t-shirt. Had a good reason though - gave my jacket to pillion and felt a little insecure wearing just a t-shirt myself.

I agree that stuffing your jeans into your boots is a faux-pas for men, but not as obnoxious for girls... I'm definitely guilty of that.

Guilty too. But well, I like my skinny jeans and my riding boots, and tucking jeans into my boots is the only way that i can make both of them work together.

Oh and I'm so getting the rim tapes too. The reflective ones...

I review this post each day before I leave the house to make sure I'm uptodate and complying with the fashionista's expectation. Heaven forbid I actually develop a backbone and my own sense of what's right for me to wear.

Make sure they're both polarized.... Trippin'...

Good point. I actually have a pair of Oakleys that aren't polarized that I use solely for inside my helmet. I did that after sitting at a gas pump for 5 mins trying to figure out what the hell was wrong because the polarized lenses prevented me from seeing the LCD screen.

5 minutes to firgure out that your sunglasses were making it harder to see in a shaded area? Maybe you need this thread more than you let on.

LCD displays use a polarizing filter. Polarized sun glasses can make them appear black, if the plane of polarization is 90 degrees off. Don't believe me? Give it a try ;)

Seen heading south on Salem turning east onto Bayly.

Guy on a cruiser (make?) - T shirt, shorts shorty helmet and sandals with socks.

Dude, for the look to hang together the socks have to be white!

Don't make me tell you again!

I'll take your word for it. I can't afford polarizing sun glasses.

Nothing to do with shade. I could see everything about the pump no problem. I just saw absolutely nothing on the LCD screen. I turned the pump on and off, shifted angles, tried another pump etc. Finally took my glasses off and could SEE!! And, I can see with non-polarized lenses no problem. It's a factor of the polarized lenses and the LCD screen.

Btw, you must have missed my previous post wherein I noted that I live by this thread. Did you take that for sarcasm? :p

So, I used to rock the sunglasses & clear visor for the last 3 years... coincidentally I've been having contact lens-wearing issues for the last few weeks, so I've recently had to start wearing my glasses everyday.

This meant that I needed to buy a dark-smoke visor for my helmet, so that I could still ride to work. It's been great, and as awesome as it looks; I sometimes get the option of riding with the tinted visor and contacts, and I must say that it's way less functional than the sunglasses + clear visor method.

I miss riding at 50-100km/h with my visor open and my sunglasses shielding my eyes :(

I got a dark smoke visor a few months ago. So much easier and more comfortable than dealing with sunglasses. The only problem for me is taking the visor off for night riding.
