I know, it's not good..but.....it's been used 98.6425% of the time for city / grocery getting and dump runs since covid, no hiway. When it's cold out, the auto starter is my friend. I waste gas for 10 minutes while it warms up. When it's hot out, same thing, so the a/c works 10 minutes and no mileage rolls up.
Normal use would increase my numbers drastically.
I’ve had the 2500 for about 6,200kms and my overall average is 14.2 l/100km.
This includes roughly 10 minutes of warmup, running errands in and around Elmira and Waterloo, 1,700lb pallets in the bed, towing and the odd highway driving. Best I’ve ever done is 9.0 l/100km when I did a couple hours on the 401.
Doesn’t seem like the Honda is any better than that which is kind of sad.
The Maverick will get substantially better economy than that, which is part of why I’m buying it. Plus, compared to the price of the Honda, I can buy 4 and the 5th one will be free!
