my Bronco has the turny gear selector knob thing , its been 6 months and I'm not used to it. But , if you shut the vehicle off while its in gear the gear selector will auto rotate into park and set the parking brake, as will the Maverick
That kind of crap will end very badly. Some useless turd gets used to that and then drives another vehicle and it rolls away. Any time a car intervenes in a safety matter, it should punch you in the nuts to encourage you to pay attention.
Watching Ram drivers is enough for me to have no desire to purchase one. It's shocking how bad most are.
As a representative example, here is a Ram driven by someone with four concurrent suspensions who was drunk at dinner time. I'm not even sure why they bother with charges as obviously he isn't learning.
Vents blocked by cans? Most invertors would hate that load. Maybe he is living in truck and plugs it in when he parks? "That's not open alcohol in a vehicle, that's my recycle bin in my kitchen".

I think it is a good idea as a failsafe. I was serious that using it should have consequences. Otherwise people get lazy and rely on what is supposed to be an added layer of protection as the only layer of protection. Obviously punching in nuts is not realistic, but stern warnings (probably up to and including disabling vehicle and requiring tow to the dealership to reset if it happens too often (say more than three times in a week?) Seems reasonable. They disable your truck if you dont have piss in the tank and that has minimal safety implications.
I love Rams too! Have an 07 in the driveway, only has 140k on her. Never seem to use her but I like having it at my fingertips. Sadly I have to put I an oil pan, not easy on these trucks. Just got the old one out, need a nice weekend day to button up the new one.

I seem to love buying the vans had a 2000, 2002 2014 and now a 2022. Also have a GMC van it is day and night better in almost every way especially driving. Could be worse we have a ford at work it is like driving a farm truck from the 60s and is only 3 years old with 30000k that twin I-beam sure shows it age.
Came really close to going to look at a well-priced 14 F150 yesterday that popped up for sale. Low mileage, clean, oil sprayed yearly, etc. Tempting as my old suv had a engine light on that I was having issues finding but finally fixed it with a $45 sensor. Truck sold within 24hrs.
Only put 4000km on my suv last year so I’m fine with used.
