Anyone else out still riding on the nice days?

The fact these morons in Peel brined and salted the living day lights out of the roads last Friday means they'll dump metric fucktonnes of it again on Wednesday.

See ya'll in April - if that.

A day or so of rain afterwards and it's all gone again, no huge deal. ****** that despite it all being gone and the roads being clean recently will all be undone, but not be end of the world either.

Doesn't look like any real solid rain is headed our way but that can change rather quickly. I still don't see it happening before the month is out. I hope I'm proven wrong!

Snowing here now and roads were covered in sand from the sand/salt mix that was laid down before.

I'm hoping to wait until the snow to finishes clearing and the street sweepers get out.

You go hide under rock and practice with those training wheels you love, I'll be riding.

We were supposed to get 15-20cm of snow in Keswick. Ended up getting a **** ton of rain. No salt/sand trucks were out. Nice clean roads now!

It's on the way, just hitting here now. Supposed to snow all night and change to freezing rain in the morning. I'm skeptical of weather predictions however, so I'll just look out the window when I wake up.

Dam, it seems you're right sir!

They say we're getting snow here friday but they said that early in the week too and while there were a few short flurries no snow on the ground and no salt trucks were out. Im hoping we can keep this going till the weekend when its supposed to be nicer. Freezing rain tonight but hopefully its not bad enough to salt for. If we get a cm or 2 on friday like theyre calling for and they send out the fleet for that ill be ******.

I hate to disappoint all those hoping we aren't getting anything tonight....but yeah, we're getting something tonight.

I'll be happy if our power is still on in the morning based on the latest freezing rain estimates. I'll be happier if I get in to work and they cancel our runs because of road conditions.

My boss tries to keep the trucks off the road every time it snows. Lol
I'm always like, " I'm Canadian and I drive for a living. Why do I have to stay in the yard again?". Then again I've also plowed on the 400, the county roads, and for the City of Barrie, snow doesn't bother me at all.

Where's my spring? I was promised that a few weeks ago.

I've been driving commercially for 20 years, I've driven through it all, and honestly, not much of it bothers me either, but ice is one of those dodgy things. I actually enjoy driving in the snow, it makes things interesting comparatively.

Ultimately, I'm paid by the hour, so I don't care much about how long the day takes me so long as I can get back inside my 14 hours....I run a daycab now, so I've no bed to crash in if I run out of hours, and I cover a lot of territory on a daily basis so in extreme weather there's a very real chance of that happening, hence why they sometimes decide to hold the distant guys like me. I'll putter around locally perhaps, or considering my seniority, maybe just drink coffee and sweep the dock instead while the junior guys go play in the weather instead. ;)

Not with the salt trucks out in full force tonight!

Just got back from picking up my daughter from work, our secondary streets are already completely doused in salt.

Only saving grace is that tomorrow evening it's supposed to change to rain at some point and then rain lightly all night into Friday morning, but I doubt it'll be enough to wash away the quantity of salt that's being dumped in preparation for the IceMageddon they're predicting.
