Anyone else out still riding on the nice days?

Merry Christmas all!
Went up to Algonquin yesterday with LoneRonin. We left Mississauga at 6:30am and made it home by 2:30pm with plenty of time still left to wrap presents. We did around 750km - What a windy day!
Did the 507, Glamorgan Rd, Essonville Line, Elephant Lake rd and went through the park out to Huntsville.
Roads were in really good shape considering it was x-mas eve. A few sandy bits here and there, some wet roads in the morning, but a very good day overall. Props to LoneRonin - not many people can ride for as long as I do with so few breaks. Good times!

Terrific day today - out for 3 hours and very comfortable....surprising how much traffic - wandered around Forks, Hockley and further north then slabbed ( testing new windscreen ) down 410 and happy with the purchase. Very little wind, dry roads so could have some fun.

Surprised the Timmies I saw were all closed....good our practical Chinese Canadians offer open restaurants and a fine soup to warm me up tho really I was never chilly at any point. Says it is 10 out but feels warmer.

Went for a 2 hr ride today around my favourite roads in Caledon ... did The Forks too back & forth and saw only 1 other rider there. Saw 4 other riders total on my ride. Not many of us can tell our grandkids that we rode on Christmas day!

Saw one other bike today, in Belfountain. Christmas Day riding.... meh... lol Christmas Day riding without having to dress 3 layers deep... priceless. Not as nice as yesterday, had to use the grip heaters, up here in the 'hood. But it was a great day to head south. Did the Forks and then for the first time in years, used The Grange Sideroad to get back to Hwy 10. Very cool, dirt switchbacks off of a cliff. I had forgotten how much fun that road was. :) Did some sand, hill climbing on Escarpment Sideroad to get back home. :)

Washed the bike, went for a ride and did it's oil change. Ready for the next few thousand kms now.

Meant to do the same to put it away, ended up riding instead.

Got about 40 or 50K in today, rode to a family Christmas function and took a few family members for a drive. Saw lots of other bikes out and about.

Bought a bike for the wife to start on, a GZ250 - she's never rode before, wanted something light and easy to handle for her first year. Managed to keep it secret and put the keys under the tree this morning after sneaking it into the garage last night after she went to bed - it'd been hiding in the neighbor's garage for a few days.

Got her out on it for a few passes up and down the street, she seems to be a natural. MSC in the spring for her before things get serious. :)

Did my engine/trans/final drive oil change today. No numb fingers! Went for a Christmas morning spin and savoured the moment. The forecast is closing in though, consistently below -5C at night from Sunday onwards. That's the danger zone as rain freezes and snow starts collecting, especially on/under bridges. No regrats, as they say--it was an extra 2 months of saddle time!

Awesome! This coming season will be my wife's fourth on her ninja 250. She'll be upgrading this spring. Its been great for both of us, something we both enjoy and share together. Hope you guys get many great seasons riding.

Thats awesome... I'm gonna have to find myself a girl who enjoys motorcycles as much as I do... My Ex wanted nothing to do with 'my' pleasures... :(

I was torn this year. It is great to still have weather nice to ride in, but on the other hand I love snow for Christmas. Anyways, rode to my family Christmas yesterday, turned a 15 min ride to an hour ride to enjoy the weather. Coming home was a chilly one, seat was covered in frost, same with windshield and mirrors, still felt good. Saw a few bikes on the road as well, lots taking advantage of the weather.

10-15cm of snow forecasted between Monday and Tuesday, and the long term is consistently cold after that. I think Christmas day was the last blast at least for the next few weeks..if the weather turns around again.

Actually not that bad out today. 4 degrees but feels warmer tho it's still got some misty rain. Don't think I'm motivated enough for a soggy Forks run but I might try and chase a coin car wash to close off the riding.
