Anyone else out still riding on the nice days?

Actually not that bad out today. 4 degrees but feels warmer tho it's still got some misty rain. Don't think I'm motivated enough for a soggy Forks run but I might try and chase a coin car wash to close off the riding.

Go for it! Right after lunch the sun is out..enjoy;-)

Not here yet - still misty but still deciding...could use a decent latte.

Cleared on the radar too. Suspect it's chilly behind that.

Good push - it was not a bad ride up to the Forks
at all tho that north wind is crisp. Just a bit chilly around the eyebrows.

New screen is good tho I can tell if I pushed longer my feet would get cold. Gloves were fine and Jacket not chilly at all with a couple of layers.
Felt good to be out....this has been a pretty amazing year for riding for me....nice 50th riding anniversary ....bloody laptop felt the cold tho.

Hmmmm maybe head home soonish :D

Sunday, December 27, 2015, 7:20 AM - December's warm, mild conditions are a memory, thanks to a pair of systems set to plunge the province back to winter -- the second of which which bring the first real snow to the Greater Toronto Area.

The first is already affecting the province, with a mix of rain, freezing rain and snow stretching across from Georgian Bay to eastern Ontario and beyond.

Freezing rain warnings are widespread along that zone, and Environment Canada is warning of ice accumulations in the 5-10 mm range, especially in the east.

Getting chilly out there right now. Due to the rain/ice/snow monday night, bike is hibernating tomorrow. Third day not riding since spring.

One last ride for an oil change and chain lube (maybe a last photo tag), then until Spring.

Freezing Rain Warning for Southern Ontario
Active for next 8 hours · Environment Canada
This alert has been updated.

An intense low pressure system from Texas is expected to make its way towards the Great Lakes today. A warm front associated with this low will produce a band of freezing rain which is expected to impact the regions late this morning and early this afternoon. The precipitation will change to rain this afternoon. Ice accumulation amounts could be up to 5 mm. Strong easterly winds of 40 gusting to 70 km/h could possibly result in power outages today. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to storm.ontario@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports to #ONStorm.

Re: Something wicked this way comes...

Yes Hwy2, (King and Bond sts) in Oshawa had been bathed overnight in salt brine. Even if my bike wasn't already sleeping it would be now.

Yeah, and my snowblower won't start... Fired up nicely 5 weeks ago... now nada! @#$&(/$#$@@@@!!!!!!!!

Re: Something wicked this way comes...

I rode today!

10 K. To the local Shell station to fill up with ethanol free, add stabilizer, and back home. It was a full-face helmet kinda day. Legs were still chilly. Got some funny looks, engine nor tires ever warmed up...but hey, 10K on December 28'th, can't complain.

The bikes are now sleeping comfortably.

Re: Something wicked this way comes...

Snowing lightly now and sticking around...oh this might get very nasty for some along the lake 40 kph winds from the east...

Re: Something wicked this way comes...

Crap. Snow all over the road. Good thing I put the snow tires on today.

Re: Something wicked this way comes...

lots of salt trucks on the road now... My season's finally done :(

Re: Something wicked this way comes...

I went out for a boot around the neighborhood when I realized that it was going to snow. No complaints. I had a good run. Now I'm looking forward to the shows and hopefully an early spring. It's been a great year to be a rider in Toronto... Good weather, the HOV lanes during the games, and an extended season.
