They'll be tarrifed all to hell. Rightfully so - there's no competing against a society that treats their people like disposable items and pays them $350/month, with skeevy back room random pay cuts.
Mach E prices are like catching a falling sword. Prices dropping, inventory rising. You don't know when they will bottom out but lots of people (and dealers) with get cut on the way down. If you are planning on buy and hold, the car seems OK and the falling prices aren't as important. If you switch h things up often, it could be brutal.I was still shocked when I stopped at a Ford dealership and they had 20+ Mach-E's sitting on the lot.

Polestar laying off 15% of global staff...
On that note, has anyone seen a Livewire in the wild? After HD spun them out, I don't think I've heard of anything happening. They seem to have been put out to die. They only have three dealers in canada too.I'm secretly hoping Polestar folds back into Volvo so there are more than 3 dealerships in all of Canada (Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver) to get my car serviced.
Not a single one ... same on the new Sportster S, zilch. On that note, has anyone seen a Livewire in the wild? After HD spun them out, I don't think I've heard of anything happening. They seem to have been put out to die. They only have three dealers in canada too.

I’m coming around to the hybrids being the best way forward also.I suspect those are only to be found in Tim Hortons parking lots. I don't ride there lol.
Anyhow, in related news.
Maybe not the Volt (cars aren't selling well), but the Volt's powertrain in the outgoing Equinox would have made sense, and they're the same D2XX vehicle platform underneath. I betcha a Volt subframe would bolt up to an Equinox. It boggles my mind that GM never did that. They would need to find a place for the batteries, but an Equinox bodyshell is bigger; how hard could it be?
3 back when they were new to the market. Haven’t seen one in like 2 years at least. On that note, has anyone seen a Livewire in the wild? After HD spun them out, I don't think I've heard of anything happening. They seem to have been put out to die. They only have three dealers in canada too.
They won't do it as it would hurt the sales of the golden goose. If they put the Voltec drivetrain in something like the Colorado with enough battery for 100km before switching to gas for another 500-750km or something, those things would sell...
They have it in the Pacifica. Not sure how it’s selling but those things I’ve seen for 70k…If they put the Voltec drivetrain in something like the Colorado with enough battery for 100km before switching to gas for another 500-750km or something, those things would sell...

They'll add hybrid to the big trucks. Increase fuel efficiency and keep profit. If they all do it at the same time they can increase profit as thy can argue that the system required by the government added xxk to the price.Sooner than later they're going to be forced to worry less about profit, and more about actually meeting overall fuel fuel effeciency laws that are coming into effect, which is one of the reasons they've been pushing hard on EV's, and are now consdering bringing back some PHEV's.
