LoL so true...rich people don't waste their money on clothes and bullcrap...they know what to do with it to either make more money, or keep it hidden away properly.

The richest people I know are always dressed in shambles, driving the shittiest cars because to them:
- clothes don't need to be replaced until they're worn
- cars are a stupid waste of money so no point in buying nice cars

Their houses are very modest, but their bank accounts are fully stocked.

No sense in saving money if you can't enjoy it, you can't take it with you when you die, so what are you saving for?

Yes, it's nice to have some savings, some cushion and what not, but if you're stupid rich and driving a **** box, you are a miserable human being.

We all have our own goals I guess. Some keep saving and saving and saving but they never save enough...others blow all their money as it comes in and enjoy life in their own way...I'm sure there's a happy balance in between there somewhere.

Thats a bit extreme. Theres a fine balance... 300K car when you make 30K a year isn't it, but driving a 500 dollar car when you make 5mil a year also is pretty dumb

That's some extreme frugality right there...

What's the point in making all that money and just saving it all? If it's for the purpose of providing for future generations...sure! But if it's for the sake of seeing their bank account grow and grow, then that to me is silly. You won't take that to the grave. Why not enjoy the fruits of your labour?

To each their own.
 
My extremely wealthy friends do not own Canada Goose jackets, they own winter homes in Miami. From indoor parking at the office to a heated garage in Foresthill , you just don't get that chilly, a sweater will suffice at the Starbucks drivethru .

well it really depends where you're from...if you're in DT Toronto, it's not really feasible to drive down unless you like paying $20 per day for parking.
