My preference would be to maintain sovereignty but make the border transparent like it is in Europe. One currency, open trade, open work opportunities, live where you like. Pay taxes and collect benefits under the regime of your choice.

If you want to carry a gun, move to Texas, if you want a suppressor and concealed carry, move to Kentucky. If you like no guns and public healthcare, stay anywhere in Canada.

This would be ideal but not enough people would stay in "Canada" to pay for the social programs and govt bloat. Most states in the US offer better pay, cheaper housing, food and fuel and better weather.

I’ve often wondered what would happen if people could free flow.

Some things are certain. Ambitious Canadians would head south to capsulize on better opportunity, and pay.Poor Americans and those dependent on social services might migrate north.

I’m guessing Canadian real estate would fall dramatically, falling in line either prices slong the northern US border.

Don’t have a clue about the numbers.

Day 1, EVERY family doctor and specialist would leave immediately, Id probably go day 3 or 4 lol

Don’t be do sure of that. I had tons of Canadian friends in medicine when I lived in California. Virtually all came back, tails between their legs.

Unless you’re a rockstar, American medical workers are hustling like you see on tv.

I dunno, I think he just likes to rattle chains to see people reactions to gage the situation. Who has claws and who doesn't kinda thing. Or it's just a smoke show for whats going on elsewhere. But it's only he's first day, this could all come back.

Fair enough I suppose - if you're a convicted criminal you don't have to like the guy who was in charge at the time.
It doesn't excuse him not showing up at Biden's inauguration, but he was busy that day.
