If you really want to see your best personal time, I recommend running the first heat of any race, as that's where the fastest people tend to be. You'll probably be somewhere mid-end if you're just an okay runner so won't have to wait for obstacles. Or if you're really good, you're not waiting...
It's about that time of the year, guys :D
2 of my favourites as of late. & Jay, I'm not missing Fiasco next time he's here.
Adam Beyer at Panorama Bar in Berlin
Catz n Dogz at Boiling Room in Berlin
People also seem to have forgotten when Dove got exposed for photoshopping their models.
Not even a shameless plug; it's just VERY relevant to the discussion:
"Berni" is inreb (btw, I wonder what happened to the guy)
I couldn't cook 5 months ago, but developed a liking for it after I got tired of eating sandwiches and missing homecooked food. I especially like regional dishes from other places. Can we post basic recipes in here for others to try out? I wanna get better. I don't think that food has to be...
What's your favourite? I'll be sure to keep it in mind when I get there
also, if anyone wants more pictures, let me know. I've been to Spain, France, Monaco, Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany since the last time I posted pics
Every marketing company hires good-looking people for that reason. Notice that the people giving crap out on the streets or sampling new products tend to all be attractive? It's called the halo effect and people think that whatever looks good is inherently good. It's also about brand...
I never denied that it wasn't taboo to be a publicly-proud German. but even if you look at Berlin...the walls came down only ~30 years ago and now it's one of the most diverse and cultural/artistic cities in the world. And the mayor of Germany's capital city is gay...talk about HEAPS of...
Apparently, you weren't the only one.
I figured I've been here long enough but got some messages from dudes lololol
I just...I just want to go for a motorcycle ride
And honestly, nope - no ulterior motives (inb4 "yeah right"). It's clear that this is the only logical course of action for me...
I have a stack of these that I save for very special occasions. I think they're best used on people who put all their money into their car (ie ricers or proud truck owners) :D
edit: thanks Brian P. That vid's a keeper
This. It's official government policy NOT to forget about it...so it seems hard to move on (they've chosen to respectively embrace it as part of the nation's history). I mean, they've got the whole "lest we forget" thing going on, but it's a little hard to move on when there are memorials and...
Take the bike to niagara falls...you'll regret driving 'cause of the traffic jam. At least with the bike, you can lane split (if you're cool with that). Trust me, you'll get stuck in Niagara falls if you drive.
Honestly the beaches here aren't bad, either. Lots of bikes out afterwards and you...
Just got back from traveling for 5 months and I'm fiending for a ride, but have to wait a couple of weeks to get the job thing in order. Semi-broke life as I'm torn between renewing insurance or leaving again in a couple of months to tour the Himalayas.
In the mean time, I'm willing to...
Saw Iron man 3 last night as well. The comedy was pretty well-written.
I also saw The Lives of Others/"Das Leben der Anderen". It's a German flick about Stasi and the time of the Berlin wall - it's gotten an 8.5 at imdb, so it can't be that bad.
If anyone has any foreign movies that they'd...
Found this article while I was looking for the regimen that vrus posted a while back:
The Ultimate Cutting Diet by Layne Norton
also, when you guys do skull crushers, do you:
- lower the bar to your forehead (ie crush your skull)?
or
- lower it past your forehead and raise it sort of away from...
Does anyone have any experience with ultramarathons? I'd like to do one, one day (I'm particularly interested in the Leadville Trail 100). Or even any good trail races in Ontario? Not a fan of pavement pounding.
And on a slightly related note: I snuck into a marathon in Belgium today (with no...
I wouldn't mind paying for it if it really works. I have the same concern, though: just because it can be done, it doesn't mean it's the best way to do it. Can better results be had if you just use weights, or is it really on par with lifting?
I haven't seen body weight regimens work...
Thanks for this... I'm considering trying it. Some of the progressions are genius...but I'm a little skeptica because body weight exercises have never really worked for me. The only problem that I see is that certain progressions would work some parts of the muscle better (aka they're not really...
