    CBF600 anyone?

I'm considering getting a new CBF600 to upgrade from my GS500 so looking for some opinion/experience sharing from CBF600 owners. I did about 21k km on the GS, so I suppose I'm patient at heart. It's a good time to buy new as manufacturers have all kinds of discounts going on in the winter. My...

    Rider Down — short rant

Exactly how I feel about people moaning about (attempted) suicides in the subway as well. Someone thought their life couldn't get any worse and just tried to kill themselves. You're moaning cause you'll be 15 min late for work/school. Are you kidding me...... Makes me sick to my stomach and want...

Eric Lai, "Why ‘lane-splitting’ in a motorcycle is just asking for trouble"

Re: Why ‘lane-splitting’ on a motorcycle is just asking for trouble Sure, some cops are out there to make sure people aren't doing reckless things. And some are out there cause they get a kick out of enforcing their authority and screwing you over OR are having a bad day OR need to write...

    GS500F sputter issue?

Seems to me you can just replace the new filter with stock and not worry about it unless your problems persist. Do you still have the original part or did they throw it out? It's a waste of money to get another new filter, but better than spending $200. You can even point out to the mechanic...

    GS500F sputter issue?

Hm, I'm not an expert, but shouldn't they have warned you about this before changing the filter?

    Bell School Line now gravel?

Oh, interesting. I could swear it looked like regular gravel (I was driving). There's even a "caution, loose gravel" sign on sideroad 2, but maybe they don't have a "caution, loose chipseal" sign :D. May prompt people like me to pull out their smart phones and try to wiki it (just kidding).

    Bell School Line now gravel?

Not sure why, but Sideroad 2 east of Appleby and at least some of Bell School Line (north of Sideroad 2) are now gravel roads. Was this a speed measure? The roads were just fine a week ago. I need to ride there once in a while, so this is going to become interesting.

    I Saw You: V.2.0

Fellow with a Hyosung, stopped by a cop at the Bloor viaduct. I came back around in half an hour and he was still there. Seemed serious. Curious if he did something really reckless or the cop was having a bad day.

Cheapo ($50) Stereo bluetooh headset and intercom review (deal extreme)

Turned out I just needed nicer earplugs. The old ones were just blocking out just about everything. The new ones are supposed to be smarter about it and it works! Loving this thing. Thanks for the review - really couldn't afford one of the brand-name ones.

    Triumph parts question

Nice, thanks. Hmm, strangely enough that makes sense. Though life before the internet sounds tough.

    Triumph parts question

Okay, this may be a stupid question. I've been considering getting a street triple at some point in the future, but I don't see a parts fiche anywhere on dealers' websites. I need to be able to easily identify parts and replace them (at least the simple stuff) and save myself all the...

Are you guilty of any of these motorcycle fashion faux-pas?

Guilty of the armoured vest over t-shirt. Had a good reason though - gave my jacket to pillion and felt a little insecure wearing just a t-shirt myself.

Cheapo ($50) Stereo bluetooh headset and intercom review (deal extreme)

I got this unit after seeing this review (thanks!), but strangely enough I have volume problems. Both with the com between the two headsets and the phone to headset, once I get on the highway (with earplugs), I can no longer make out most. That's with both the headset and phone volume at the max...

    wet streetcar tracks

I lowsided in the rain on Gerrard last November. I was riding in the left lane, inbetween the tracks, went to switch lanes, thought "it'll be easy to fall here". Next thing I know, the bike wobbles hard and I'm on the ground, looking on as it's sliding away, accompanied by the startled gasps of...

Declined to attend the riding training course (missing M1)

I lost my M1 slip during my M1 exit with the MTO. I passed the test, went back inside to get my license and couldn't produce my M1 for the lady behind the counter. It was fine though. Embarrassing!

Green Kawi Down NB DVP Before Bloor

Drove by heading southbound yesterday as well. Saw the green kawi upright so I hoped it's nothing too bad, but there were too many cops... Awful. RIP, rider.

Girl Blindly Running Through an Intersection!

+1 on that. Regardless of who is more at fault, the video is a good reminder of the dangers of city riding. I was in a similar situation (unfortunately didn't have my camera running at the time) when riding north on Broadview last summer. A streetcar was stopped at a green light, doors closed...

Groaning noise from front after lowside

Thanks for the suggestions and offer to help! Weather-permitting I'll lift the front wheel this weekend and see if I can get anything to rub or if the bearings give. As for the forks, I don't think I'd be able to tell if anything's wrong with them. Bweixz, from my experience any new noises...

Groaning noise from front after lowside

Hi there, Question about a GS500F. I lowsided a few months ago and had the bike fixed (just your regular bent stuff). However, there's still a weird noise coming from the front when I start slowing down through 30-20 kph. Whether I'm breaking or not makes no difference. It goes away faster...
