Did you exercise today?

I have been neglecting the glutes for a while, an exercise I thought only for women who like male attention in yoga pants, but alas, there are consequences to ignoring such a large and important muscle, so I've begun recently to start training glutes. Did a bunch of abductor exercises, and also started doing hip thrusts(they are supposedly super effective)

Also did some core training today.

Went back in the pool for the first time since the first week of december last year.

MAN IT FELT GOOD
Makes me wonder why i stopped.
Although i dont trust the calorie burn count due to several reasons, i allegedly burned 455 cals in about 35 minutes

More glute work today, did some moderate cardio and some bicep work too

Finally got outside on the bicycle. Few of my street crossing curb hops were covered with snow banks. Felt great to be out in warmer weather without frozen face. I can almost taste… no I’m not gonna say it.

Looking for more core exercises...anyone got some good links for some?

Planking is good for the core. I do a full plank and hold for count of 150.
I also do 20 crunches with my feet on the wall holding each for a 4 count. The bicycle crunches are also supposed to be good. I do 2 sets of 30.

Sounds silly but it's super easy and you can do it all the time
vaccuums

Works the deep deep muscles
Helps tighten up a bit more too, nothing magical but it's a good thing to work

Been running daily since tuesday very very low mileage, my swim plans fell through twice so im glad i was doing SOMETHING
My wife ran Chili 1/2 yesterday. It was cold and her training had taken a dip between sickness and vacation. Still got a respectable time just over two hours. I went skiing last night but she refused to go outside again after the race. Snow was fast last night but I wasn't feeling it. Skied until close but was on edge.

That's how you should ski, on your edges

har har har
Yeah good on her, it was frigid. From my previous years of building up my run over the winter, up to 1 hour i can feel "comfortable" enough. Above that i start getting a bit too cold

Sadly the weight loss is (likely) mostly water weight (from dehydration) and liver glycogen reserves. Which will come back fast once over the virus.

A pound of fat is ~3500 calories. Eight pounds of fat in three days is a 9,333 calorie deficit per day which is very unlikely. At most two pounds of the lost weight is fat the rest water, glycogen etc...

Been running daily, itll be a full week tonight... I already increased each run but lets be real im not going far at all, it's almost like a warmup lol

I won't up the mileage for another 2 weeks, just gotta keep steady

Don't know if i'll re-add swimming or kettlebell work first
