I Hate Digital Speedometers, They Are Retarded

OOOoohh. That red display has the look of a 1988 Panasonic car radio. Bravo.

Is this post a joke?
You know I've been thinking that ever since I read the first thread that he posted.

At first I thought, this guy is just toying with us. Than as the threads continued piling on I realized, this guy IS FOR REAL!

+1 on the group ride, I would 100% be there.

There's always something to ***** about on GTAM

I have an 03 R6. I have never had a problem seeing the numbers. I like it. The tac I agree with should not be digital and on my bike is not.

The 06 R6 has had the best backlight I have seen.... never had an issue with glare, darkness or being too 'light' at any time of day. The backlight (orange) dims as it gets darker automatically.

But I do like the classic look of analogue. Anyway - no need for either on the racetrack :P

Lol are you listening to yourself? You dare admit that you like those girly digital speedometers over the old school analog ones like mine? Unbelievable, hahaha.

The only way I would prefer a digital speedometer would be if they were bright green or bright blue as ones I have seen on Youtube, but not those pathetic ones that look like my 1980's $10 watch with weak black numbers on a dull-grey background. You are way out to left field buddy.

Laser eye surgery will change your tune. You could see those digital speedos clearly and see you're on an ugly bike. All your threads would change once you don't have the perspective of Stevie Wonder.

I say no cluster AT ALL! Don't look, feel the bike~~
Like wat Bruce Lee said to a kid in one of his movies "Don't think, feel...!"

Who needs a speedo anyway, just put some tape over it ;) But other than that, I LOVE the digital speedo and never had a problem seeing it (when I look at it, haha), light or not..

As for the dual headlights----that's why you buy a gixxer, not an R6, hehehe

Yeah, I can't stand all this digital this and electronics that. I traded my bike back for a good old fashioned carb bike.
I am loving it, I got rid of the steel belted tires and switched to bias ply with a tube. You guys have no idea what fun you are missing.

Can you explain the fun we're missing with more details so that we can understand?

This is what I have now.. I really don't mind it. I guess visually it's not THAT appealing, but I actually prefer the digital spedo.. the tach I could go either way..

Now this... this is sexy. What bike is that?

I have to admit that I much prefer an analog tachometer to a digital one. Having said that, the lack of analog gauges wouldn't weigh in on my buying decision.
I am sure that cost and weight, in that order, have caused manufactures to switch to fully digital setups. My last two bikes have full digital dashes. One additional benefit to digital dashes is the ability to display additional information, like lap-times. I would say that hybrid or fully digital displays are here to stay; this trend is also being adopted by car manufactures.
