I Hate Digital Speedometers, They Are Retarded

I prefer analog as well. I hate my digital speedo and tach on my new monster, it's so stupid. Also the reason why I hate the newer gen honda civics lol. I also find digitals harder to see in daylight sun. I'm not an old fart not in tune with technology either, I just prefer analog.

Stuff it !!!! ;P that said I never really look at my gauge's anyways . . . .

The triumph gauges are beautiful. That I could live with

Too bad almost all newer bikes come with that crappy and fugly black-lettering speedometer, who started this silliness? There's nothing more girlish than seeing an R6 or R1 with those tiny black numbers showing the speed, lol!

One of the reasons why I did not buy a new bike was because of this reason and the other reason was the ridiculous trend of two headlights with only one "on". This is why I bought a bike (used) that has only one sporty headlight and a big, clear analog speedometer/rpm combo.

Here's the headlight and panel cluster of my Kawasaki ZR7:

So that's why you bought the POS bike you have, and it has nothing to do with your ignorance of the bikes out there, to get you started, how about an MV Augusta F4, it has single headlight, Big digital LCD screen with Big numbering for the speed, awesome engine and everything, so now that I found the new bike for you that is perfect why dont you sell your current bike and get the MV... That's what I thought...

Agreed dude. I am not a fan of those at all. The Daytona ones are awesome though despite the digital speedo, especially the multiple shift lights that light up in sequence.....sooooo coool. :)

A reversed LCD? Nice. That designer earned his vittles.

My old 2006 V-Strom was analogue, my new 2012 (that I bought in March) is digital. I wasn't big on the digital at first but now after around 23,000 km I find I'm no longer bothered by it.
It's one of those little things that you get used to and after a while it really doesn't matter.

Kawa which Peggie has may be POS in terms of mechanical condition (which we do not know) but it is good all rounder. Lots of people love them and ride them.

I like the dash on new one - really thought out design.

Same thing can be said about fat chicks.

Well, to each their own - I just think it is not cool to bash man's ride (regardless who is the man). If you don't have anything nice to say - why say anything at all? I am sure Peggie loves his bike and it is his baby.
And we are not talking about beige toyota corolla here after all - it is pretty nice bike.

Scooters can be lots of fun - just ask MacDoc (although I am not a big fan of his over-evangelising scooters all over the place).

He extolls the virtues of whatever bike he rides--like the rest of GTAM. Unless I missed some sort of tirade, that is. Also, big scoots rock. All bikes do, really, even ones crippled with bean-counter suspension.

You are right - just for me he may seem a little bit over the top sometimes with scooter propaganda :-) (IMHO of course)
And I agree that all bikes rock - ride and let ride.

You're right. So why is it okay to bash digital dashes? He in essence is bashing a lot of GTAM owners bikes.

I never said it's ok for him to bash anyone's dashes. I can understand saying that bike is ugly/beautifull but can't understand calling bike POS (not talking about mechanical condition). Peggie's view of the world and the way he expresses his opinion never cease to amaze me. Normal person can talk about dashes in calm respectful manner but OP has to bash it right off the bat. And I guess that's why everyone jumped on it and thread went into regular Peggie's thread way.
