this that from a RC51?
Yep, you really have to see the tach in motion to see how ugly it really is. Cool bike though.

The triumph gauges are beautiful. That I could live withStuff it !!!! ;P that said I never really look at my gauge's anyways . . . .![]()
Too bad almost all newer bikes come with that crappy and fugly black-lettering speedometer, who started this silliness? There's nothing more girlish than seeing an R6 or R1 with those tiny black numbers showing the speed, lol!
One of the reasons why I did not buy a new bike was because of this reason and the other reason was the ridiculous trend of two headlights with only one "on". This is why I bought a bike (used) that has only one sporty headlight and a big, clear analog speedometer/rpm combo.
Here's the headlight and panel cluster of my Kawasaki ZR7:

The top on was an 09-11 650r.. I was asking about the bottom one.. now that is a good looking dash..
I prefer analog as well. I hate my digital speedo and tach on my new monster, it's so stupid.

So that's why you bought the POS bike you have, and it has nothing to do with your ignorance of the bikes out there, to get you started, how about an MV Augusta F4, it has single headlight, Big digital LCD screen with Big numbering for the speed, awesome engine and everything, so now that I found the new bike for you that is perfect why dont you sell your current bike and get the MV... That's what I thought...

My old 2006 V-Strom was analogue, my new 2012 (that I bought in March) is digital. I wasn't big on the digital at first but now after aropund 23,000 km I find I'm no longer bothered by it.
It's one of those little things that you get used to and after a while it really doesn't matter.

Lots of people love them and ride them.

Scooters can be lots of fun - just ask MacDoc (although I am not a big fan of his over-evangelising scooters all over the place).
He extolls the virtues of whatever bike he rides--like the rest of GTAM. Unless I missed some sort of tirade, that is. Also, big scoots rock. All bikes do, really, even ones crippled with bean-counter suspension.
Well, to each their own - I just think it is not cool to bash man's ride (regardless who is the man). If you don't have anything nice to say - why say anything at all? I am sure Peggie loves his bike and it is his baby.
And we are not talking about beige toyota corolla here after all - it is pretty nice bike.
You're right. So why is it okay to bash digital dashes? He in essence is bashing a lot of GTAM owners bikes.
