your reason for picking the bike you are riding now...

09 hayabusa. I'll probably never be able to afford a half mill supercar but can get same acceleration and thrill for a joke of a price in comparison. Love everything about it, its comfortable, stupid fast, affordable even on insurance (190 per month), looks like a mini nasa space shuttle, corners flawlessly and the extra toys to put on are limitless. I love this bike!

$190 full coverage? which ins. company?

Was looking for a more powerful cruiser to replace my '03 Honda Shadow 750.

More power - two up and highway.
Saddle bags, floor boards, windshield, etc....
Oh, and the loud pipes.

KTM 950 SER - She's a big lass, she's a bonnie lass - lol!

For adventure riding on and off road.

I never really got to tap into the potential of the 05 GSXR1000 I had for 3 yrs, and decided that a modern litre-sport-bike is too much bike for the street. I still wanted sportbike cutting edge suspension and brakes, 400 lb weight, and modern radial tire sizes, and hopefully a more upright seating position than the GSXR had. And it had to be cool or a little soul stirring, not appliance-like.
100 hp was kind of the goal number,a nd the more torque, the better, so twins were a serious consideration.
So I traded the GSXR for this:

It is quite tall for me, and I can't even reach the sidestand to pull it up if my other foot is tippy-toe on the ground, so I have to teeter, balanced on the bike with no feet on the ground, adn quickly swwep the sidesatnd up with my left foot. Gonna weld a small tab onto the sidstand to rememdey this, and hopefully order a 1.5" lower seat to help this issue as well.
Lowering the bike is not an option as I was dragging it's pegs at stock height, at Deals Gap last week.

2004 gsxr 1000
cuz my 2000 gsxr 750 became slow :D

A Shadow was my first bike and after 4 others a Shadow is still my bike.:D

it looks like a big marshmellow... so hungry. om nom nom

Got it cheap
Put maybe $500 into it

It's now worth 9 times what I paid for it

Seem reason enough

1) Got excellent magazine reviews
2) Awesome sound
3) Great looking
4) Don't see one on every corner

I've had her two years now and have no regrets. Still looks great, sounds awesome and a blast to ride.

I wanted a bike again and was drawn towards "old" standards. Really had my heart set on a new Bonnie. Reasonable to ride in the city and the highway. Nice sound, can manage 2 up time to time etc.

Then came price. My fleeting dream was over.

Tripped over an ad for a Sportster on kijiji. Always thought Harley's were too expensive and not really my style. But, a Sportster has the standard profile I was looking for and the price was right.

Guess I am a Harley guy afterall!!!!

lol another said it looks like a sideways snowman! Wish i could get an astronaut outfit to match the bike. I look too skinny on it and would need a bulky suit to match lol!
