Unfortunately, where the law is concerned, there are times when common sense must be applied. .

The crown prosecutor in the Ian Thompson case was so clueless I'm amazed the judge didn't toss the case at the first sign of the crown's ignorance. And it was exactly because this case needed some common sense and there was none that Mr. Thompson was put through the wringer by a vindictive crown with a trumped storage charge in the largest possible way.
