I got the "You must be crazy" from the people at work. Then I would pass them on the bike as they waited shivering for a bus and I was thinking "They must be crazy". The bike was a 125cc Yammy and looked like crap at the end of the year. I wouldn't try it with a heavy bike or a decent one.

Back in the 80's I use to ride my enduro to work year round. Fortunately I live out in the country and my work commute was on back roads. My tires were full of sheet metal screws and as long as I kept the tires full of them I didn't have any trouble. I wouldn't try it these days, too many cops living local to me.

Look at the heat this thread is getting. Two other threads related to this were flamed and trolled into closure. That time has definately not come.

There is no "New Frontier." We all tried riding in the winter when we first started. Some still do for economic reasons or they just plain enjoy it. You didn't get flamed for talking about snow - I believe it was your superhuman braking abilities that got most worked up.

Your claim of of cars out braking bikes has been refuted by data provided by others. You tried to use physics to bolster your position and failed, it was obvious you were using meta physics.

There's a TW200 for sale on this forum btw. If you're serious about winter riding you should buy that bike .

TW200 could be the best all round bike to tackle freezing rain and snow covered roads.

nah those big wheels have a large contact patch compared to other bikes. you're arguments earlier shows that a smaller patch is better.
