Windows 8 anyone?

So what do you guys think of the new Windows 8 software? Personally I love it! My old (2007) laptop was dying with Windows XP and I know it had too much junk on it. For the price of $40 I bought the new Windows 8 OS and now the laptop runs like brand new! Hell even the DVDROM fixed itself up and is now working properly (hope I don't speak too soon!). If this thing is as good on their phones then my next phone may just be a Windows phone...

Sounds like your XP issues would be considered PEBCK.

I don't see any reason to upgrade for a while. Wait for the drivers to catch up.

I think I'd rather hit my dick with a hammer.

That's the promotional upgrade price. I've seen it as low as $9 for a key.

I've been having difficulty finding order links for the System Builder copy and Personal Use License though... can only seem to accept licensing agreement and then the page takes me nowhere. Is it not out yet?

Ya a hammer is cheaper but once ur finished there ain't no way of going back to the old operating system! LoL

the $40 price is on the ms site. I just ran the compatibility tool and you download it. 70$ if you buy a disk. What surprised me most is all the drivers worked instantly which was a nice bonus.

Upgrade is $15 (officially cheaper than certain hammers) if you say you bought your computer recently (I said I bought mine in the last 2 months). They dont verify anything and theyll send you a promotional code which you redeem when using the upgrade tool.

I upgraded a few days ago and dont mind at all. The old lappy needed a wipe anyways.

They took a tablet based OS and ported it to a PC...lol
Win 7 works great.

Every other version of Windows needs to be skipped. Example, 98 good, 2000 bad, XP good, Vista bad, 7 good, 8 bad, etc. etc.

So ya'll are sayin' Windows 8 isn't worth it? I just purchased a new laptop within a month and am liking Windows 7.

I can call and get a free upgrade to Windows 8?
Can anyone confirm this?
