I recently went through this. Had a chick friend I went to school with (would not have dated her but would have been up for a triple-x throw down fo sho) who never had any serious BFs the whole time I knew her (7 years or so). I would have considered here a very close friend. Well, she got a BF back in January and it got pretty serious pretty quickly. She went from being 27 years old to being a little old lady over night. She's a complete hermit now and I haven't even talked to her in a few months.

Meh.

LOL big +1 to this. I've noticed this trend as well. Most of my platonic female friends (and some of my more sensitive male friends) have more or less abandoned me once they settled into a relationship. I don't get that. I don't think I'll ever understand it haha.

Ya it's the guys (especially the blood relatives) that confuse me. I mean, bitches be crazy and all that, but when a guy pulls that off it bothers the hell out of me.

Wow, my sister inlaw is the same...tries to correct me when I call my brother what I've always called him. Nuts. Best part is she was my sisters best friend since childhood and ditched my sister once she landed my brother.

It kinda sucks but I've come to terms with it. It has happened before with other people... sometimes people drift apart, such is life.. but none of them did I consider to be "elite level friends" such as this one.

For a while I made a bit of an effort to carry the friendship but it became obvious that I was the only one putting in any effort. I gave up. I seems like some highschool BS but I really feel that if they can't be bothered to make any effort to remain friends then it's not worth my effort either.
 
This thread reminds me of the question...why do women fake orgasms? Answer...who cares?
 
The wifey and I were best friends for three years before i made that fatal mistake of telling her i had feelings for her :sad7:
 
Men can be friend with women, as long as she is an ugly fat girl, there will be no problem :D I always wanted to bang all my friend, they were all pretty :p. I stopped talking to girls, or being friend with them, it wasn't safe since I got a serious girlfriend :p

I've come to the same conclusion as well. LOL it's actually come to the point where I rarely take friendships seriously any more....which is a little disconcerting now that I think about it.
 
you can be friends with ugly chicks, but only so they can introduce you to their hot friends.

most hot chicks keep an ugly one around so it makes them look better in comparison.
