Why Android is better than iPhone.

I'm in need of a new phone... Comming from the
previous gen Xperia and now need help with this decision...

Which one of
the following is better in terms of the phone itself, brand power and the
features along within the device

1. Moto Droid Razr Maxx
2. Galaxy Nexus 4
3. HTC One X

Thanks in advance
I have a Galaxy Nexus and am really liking it, not a big fan of LG products but it is the best of your choices listed.

Nexus 4 for the best and purest google android experience possible without all the bloatware and silly contracts that the telco companies add to their phones.

great price, great specs, and the latest Android 4.2 right out of the box.

you'll always get all the latest google android updated direct from google, instead of waiting for the carriers to adopt and approve it first at a much later time.

Id choose Nexus 4 first
Razr Maxx 2nd.

:)

I bought the galaxy note 2. What a huge difference in quality and performance from my HTC Sensation.

Glad you got what you were aiming for.

Lebron James looks like he found a new toy.

Will be great for sales.

I just wished the Nexus 4 came in a normal size, maybe a 3.5" screen. Not a fan of the 'book to the ear' look and feel of the 4.5" screen phones.

Get a Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

S2 with JB is awesome.
I can also dual boot my S2 to ICS or any other versions of Android ICS or JB. So you can have a stable and tester :)
JB is very fast on these phones.

I find the S2 to be the right size for me. I prefer a 4 inch screen but the S2 is not that much larger.

Love the Nexus

HTC has come a long way. The HTC One X is a great phone.

I love the HTC Raider (and like Sense as well)

Only complain is that the speaker is on the back so speakerphone and video's suck as you look at the front, and the sound travels out the back.

Had it for a year now, see no reason to get something new as of yet...

So I picked up a cheap HTC One X to play around with. One thing that they don't advertise, out of the supposed 16gb of storage available, only 9.93gb are available. The rest is taken up by who knows what.

For comparison, my 32gb iPhone has 28.2gb available.

Put a better ROM on your phone and you will get back the space plus A LOT of features and functions will be made available to you.
Better battery life as well.

Make sure your GPS and WIFI works well. They have poorly soldered contacts.

I don't get it, with Android do you have to wait for the carrier to release it's own ROM? I see people waiting for the next ROM all the time. What's up with that? Why can't you just install Google's ROM or whatever some one else brews?

What are some of your favourite Roms for the S3?

I rooted my phone yesterday, couldn't find much detail on the features of various roms.

Yeah, new to the game, but I have been learning this thing on fast forward.

I will create a new thread on this Android rooting and romming. Also the necessaries to enjoy your device.

In the meantime checkout task and ktoonsez jelly bean ROM in xda forums, at&t/rogers s3 sub-forum. Original android development.
I will post a link, soon.
