Why Android is better than iPhone.

I must say HTC have some hardware issues with their phones. I had 2 Evo 3D. The 1st one had a speaker problem and I returned it, the 2nd one has a screen problem. I've read other people had other issues with their phones too. Their software is OK

After having a number of htc phones fail on me right in a row, one failed and the subsequent replacements all failed with in the 30 day replacement warranty that each one had until the last one made it to 35 days before failing and i was done with htc. I've convinced more than a few people to stay away from htc. Nothing to do with the os, it was a junk phone from a junk manufacturer

If apple released a phone without LTE(in these times), headlines everywhere.

At $600+ for an iphone true. At $299 Google can surely get away with it, especially considering it has quad core chip, double the ram, bigger screen, wireless charge, nfc capability, that the iPhone doesn't have.

How are the Apple stocks doing today?

:laughing3:

Good luck, Mr Jobs et all......

“I will spend my last dying breath if I need to, and I will spend every penny of Apple’s $40 billion in the bank, to right this wrong,” Jobs said when the first batch of Android smartphones landed in 2010. “I’m going to destroy Android, because it’s a stolen product. I’m willing to go thermonuclear war on this.”

:laughing3:

Android FTW.

How is Google's stock doing?

Google – October 2 until today -10.7%
Apple - same time -9.7%

Google – YTD +5.3%
Apple – YTD +47%

All the Apple projections were for $1000 by years end with the launch of all these great new products.

:laughing3:

Is civilization failing too? Didn't they predict we'd be flying cars around by 2000? Or how about the world ending in 2000?

You're trying to hard bud.

Maybe we should keep stock talk out of this thread, its not like most of us are unaware of them from time to time.

Stock is not gonna stop people from buying what device they like.

Yes its a conversation goer, but pointless.

What were the Google projections?

Or you can pretend you didn't just say this and move on to yet another baseless line of attack.

I hope everyone realizes that Samsung is making money from Apple.
Apple does not have the ability to create hardware/chips. They have to rely on other companies such as Samsung for components.
Google now owns Motorola and Samsung is their other partner. That is three big companies on the move with deep pockets.
It is in Samsung interest to keep Apple viable.

Wow! Apple has had Siri for YEARS compared to Google who just started their speech system.
Google will surpass Apple Siri in another year given that Google is the search engine of choice and it is their primary business to sort data.

When did the NFL get the Giants?

1925.

What Siri got right and Google got wrong, was the Giants question, but that was a bit open ended. Still very fast and responsive.
Location wise (based in new york) you'd want to know about the NY Giants football team, but since the world series was on and probably the more searched 'Giants' term recently, it displayed the San Francisco Giants.

SwiftKey on android is very nice. Beats iOS keyboard by far.

compare swiftkey to swype for me please?
I would appreciate your insight.

I tried the google speech on my iPhone 4S, while it was quicker then Siri, it does not have the same implementation as Siri for easy access with a physical button. This is what makes Siri great for me, I can do simple things like alarms, reminders, etc without needing to unlock, or even look at my phone.

Not sure if Android phones work like the iPhone does for accessing voice commands, but if they dont, its something that should be done as its the best way to interact easily without needing to load or push some on screen button rather then a physical button.
