Why Android is better than iPhone.

When my company was looking at iPads the idea of getting lte functionality was proposed, except 1/2 of us are in areas with no lte support and won't have lte for a while. Same with phones, why get tech that is useless due to a lack of availability?

As for battery my girlfriend has a Samsung galaxy infuse 4g that she got 9 months after I got my iphone4, it's dead by mid afternoon and she turns off things like wifi and data to preserve the battery. My iPhone is a year old and I leave wifi and data on all the time. Should I need to change batteries I have a USB power pack, it is about the same size as many replacement batteries and isn't limited to one device.

After my htc broke I had like 8 batteries left over (had to change them way too often). Now though they are fine they are still junk. What a waste. My portable battery pack how ever is a universal device.

LTE this, 4G that... blah blah blah

My iPhone downloads at 500kb/sec from Bell cellular... its retarded fast.

Android fanboys like Jerry Afong over there get frothy over spec sheets and marketing jargon... FEATURES! FEATURES!!! The list is longer, so it MUST be better! they don't know quality. They don't get to experience the luxury of Apple.

the real question of iOS6 is how many phones will have FULLL FEATURES of the new os? only iphone 4s and newer... which isnt the majority of owners (so theres still fragmentation, they just try to 'hide' it)

i have 4g, download at about 1-2mb/s and my battery lasts a full day with wifi on, i play videos etc etc.
im usually down to 60% after a day at work (lots of texting, emailing, a few vids, etc) and thats on my galaxy nexus.

phone has fallen down at least twice from about 4-5 feet high, my case only covers the top and bottom end... hasnt broken and still works perfect :)
if you want a new OS on your phone and your smart enough to unlock and root, your phone is limitless

iPhone is limitless too with a Jailbreak... which is funny because android geeks scoff at the restrictions Apple put on iOS, but they themselves routinely 'root' and 'unlock' their phones. Hello, pot?

iOS6 is compatible back to 3GS with only a handful of missing features. You still get a shiny new OS with better stability, compatibility with apps, etc etc. The old hardware can't cope with some features, but who cares? The point is that you still get to upgrade your 4 year old iPhone the day iOS6 is released. Android users have to hope and pray that their manufacturers churn out the latest update after a year of it being out. jokes

yup we root and unlock because theres a huge developper community, customizing, re-branding, making the phones more powerful, more effective and updates available to whoever is willing to root. the open source project IS a double edged sword as its wonderful that everybody can contribute to the greater good, but then it also enables the evil agendas of manufacturers. having jelly bean (os 4.1) the day right after it was announced to be released 3 weeks later is amazing. bug free and smooth as a baby's bum.

ios6 might be compatible back to 3gs, with only a handful of features. you still get a shiny new OS, with better stability, battery drainage, apps that force close etc etc. The point is, you only have 1 phone model to upgrade therefore making it easy to upgrade your 4 year old iPhone the day its released since the manufacturer IS the software provider.

I like having choice in my phones. Which features and what type of 'power' i want on my phone. Thats why i choose what i have. Now the anti-competition attitude that apple is adopting is not exemplary for the industry, i think.

The thing is, the newer iOS devices will get the OS with the new features, and the older devices still get an update....but android newer devices still suffer from even getting it at all.

Basically new technology requires newer devices, why you think there is an S III, there was II(recently) and I!!!!

I don't know about how android community works.....but jailbroken iDevices receive tweaks(new features), daily(everyday), from the community we have(via Cydia). Even that Swipe feature that dude mentioned(plus more), and the pattern swipe to unlock too.

Newer ones can get the almost immediately once the source code comes out, developper community is like an ant colony, so newer ones can get it from the community.
s2 already had ICS before s3 came out... but then it was with full functionality not partial

yea android community and jailbreak community are similar, they release builds every so often with more features and what not on rootzwiki or xda developpers forum

i guess i like the fact that more things are customizable/do-able stock (like keyboard, homescreens, gestures, etc etc)

now do you think the new siri is gonna be up to par with google now when she gets officially released with ios6?

lol, koolaid cr-apple users apparently are illiterate--i have 'experienced' the 'luxury' of apple, and the experience was found wanting, lol. . .

so remind us again why apple makes a 64gb ipod touch, since according to you apparently NO ONE ever needs more than 32gb???

and your silly argument that 'features' are meaningless. . .how ironic. apparently features only matter when cr-apple tells you it matters. . .

also ironic is the comment about "spec sheets and marketing jargon". . .lol, apparently you don't bother reading your own posts, full of the apple marketing brainwashing. . .

gold, jerry, gold!!!

Wonder if RIM is going to be able to save the company with their 2 new models (qwerty and touchscreen)

I probably wouldnt go back with them but it was a nice 'little' canadian venture that found a lot of success for quite some years. Dont want to see them dead yet lol

^ last year you were laughing at people for saying RIM was going down...

 hows your RIM doing now

RIM is obtuse.
They demonstrated that by releasing their tablet 2 years AFTER the others yet the RIM tablet did not have the standard features found such as 3G.

RIM is on the same path, they changed leadership but replaced with the same.

rim has/had a very loyal user base, who were very patient with them as they went through their struggles.
pretty obvious that the last announcement of another delay in releasing bb10 is the straw that broke the camel's back.

i think even the most optimistic bb fan will probably admit that rim as we know it is done.

You do realize this is pointless. I am not sure what your colorful chart is supposed to tell us.
Comparing desktop OS's with smartphones/tablets makes little to no sense.
You might as well include the OS in Honda's and Toyota's.
