Of course not everybody could afford Apple... that's what Samsung and Acer and the billion other Google/Microsoft hardware partners are for

Never had a problem with my computer booting in the past .... 3-4 years that ive had my laptop?

But does that virus protection popup, annoy the hell out of you.
And how long does it take to boot up?......mine doesn't need booting up, it has good battery life, and i just close the lid(sleep), and then instant ON.
If i do have to boot, 13-16 seconds up and running......plus i don't have to wait for stuff to load.

Macbook pro at work takes a good minute and a half to boot, and that was bought in april this year. Nothing installed on it other than browsers, adobe reader...
It takes as long as my 3-4 year old laptop, and well sleep takes even less time.
I dont have a virus protection popup, because my virus protection program is on and scans on schedule (havent had a virus ever since i stopped going on H4X0RZ websites)

Im rocking that Macbook Air, SSD drive....not sure about Macbook Pro's using HDD. Did you really time it though?
Oh, so you do have virus protection!!!...what about the folks that can't afford the virus protection, and have to live with that annoying popup?
When people buy a Windows PC, its mandatory to have a Virus protection software, or you're doomed. Why go through that pain?
Security Essentials comes with Windows 7. No problems.

kinda back on topic: anyone hear any realistic/foreseeable improvements or changes to the next iPhone iteration? potentially a penta-band antennae?
any computer with an ssd will boot quickly, so that argument is pretty weak, and frankly, everyone knows that the only reason apple hasn't had a real virus problem so far is that hackers can't be bothered with the paltry 10% of computer users who use macs.

Thats what I was thinking. Even if you did, who cares if it takes a min or 2 or even less? If it moves fast when its on, thats what important unless you are in some serious business where you need to start up your laptop lickity split so you can hack into a database before the defence systems are reactivated and time is of much importance!
if these apple-humpers are correct, and apple comps do become more popular than 10% of market share, you can be sure that the virus situation will get progressively worse. . .lol, but is really cute how ignorant they are to reality and the actual reason why they think macs don't have a virus issue. . .

They're finding it increasingly difficult to dupe the buying public to pony up large dollars for their overpriced, outdated products and increasingly UNFIXABLE products.
Apple now faces "fragmentation", a term everyone likes to wave around at Android, but Apple is a victim too.
