First almost 100km of 2024 in the books.
Loving this thing so far, especially the heated seat. Had to turn it down at one point as it was frying my ass lol.
Very nice looking bike. What did it replace?View attachment 65799

He's making fun of both of us then as I turn them off also. More fun when the bike is trying to kill me.What we have here is... a failure to communicate...
My bad, it's supposed to be an em dash, not a negative sign. Should have read:
But I normally ride with max power and all the rider aids off or set at the most minimum levels possible, regardless of temps and road/trail conditions.
There was a Ryan F9 video that made fun of guys like me... can't find it to link...
Delayed realization:Took advantage of the third sunny day we had this year and took the 919 to get lunch. Would have rode it yesterday, but the wimpy battery wasn't up to it
It's like a old wives tail, people accept it as truth without speaking from experience. Why does everyone complain about salt and brine? I've been riding since 2018 during some winter months and have zero signs of rust. Does it depend on the bike?
There's very little raw metal on your bike. Those coatings protect the substrate. Driving in the salt and brine will test the quality of those coatings. If like me you have removed the coatings and polished the aluminum then you need to be very careful. Salt stains won't buff out but need minor (very fine ) sanding. Why does everyone complain about salt and brine? I've been riding since 2018 during some winter months and have zero signs of rust. My HD seemed to survive as well. But I will have to say I did notice some pin holes on some chrome bits, but hardly anything earth shattering.
