whos still riding today ....NoooooooooBooooooody ...one would hope. It is flat out nasty out there.
You might have seen me. I was returning from Orillia, I came west on my DL650 from Manchester on Goodwood Rd to 10th, then west of Stouffville Rd to 48 -- I'd have passed there just after 6. It was OK heading out, chilly heading back.Today is the first day since sometime in March that I didn't ride in to work because of weather (or more because of the potential on snow and ice on the road when I get home after 7 this eve.)
Ironically last night was the first time in weeks that I saw any other bike on the road and I saw two.. one westbound on Stouffville Rd a bit after 6 pm and one westbound on Goodwood between (I think) hwy 12 and Lakeridge.
Hopefully the weather will settle next week. I need to ride a bit less than 3,000 km to hit 50,000 km for the year and about 4,800 km to hit 160,000 km total on my 2015 V-Strom DL1000.

still riding. commuted all week in the rain/semi-snow. rode today to get a haircut. will probably ride next week.
think i'll get some barkbusters to break up wind on the hands.
What bike?I have a "as new" set for sale.
Went out today to start the bike as I haven't had it running in about a month. Battery wasn't completely dead but didn't have enough juice to start it, so I ended up bump starting it. Went for a 10 minute ride after to charge the battery, but thats all I could handle. Hands got way to cold even with latex gloves under my regular gloves.
That won't fully charge your battery.
Eh it was good enough.
Nope, probably barely replaced what it took to start the bike.
If you don't get it on a tender on it or at least charge it back to 100% sooner than later some other way that battery is going to freeze at the first hard cold snap, and you'll be looking for a new battery in the spring. A battery that was barely able to start your bike is probably floating under the 40% SOC mark, and that drastically lowers it's freezing point.

If you're curious, its OCV is 12.91V right now. Doing so great it's off of your chart...
