Who's still riding? (Fall 2017 / Winter 2018 edition)

Sunday at the Mohawk Inn is going to be a sunblock and mud day!

Was planning on taking the bike around my neighborhood tomorrow or Thursday but with all those ice chunks on the roads, I'm probably gonna wait. According to the 14 day forecast, the weather will be spring-like from here on out so hopefully this is the beginning to an awesome summer!

Looking okay today for me to get it to the new place
wish me luck

Piece of cake - lovely out. If not for moving would have gone to the forks but glad it's moved. Only slick getting out of the garage - some slimey slush.

I rode up to Newmarket and then to work today... main roads are all very good and were drying up nicely. Some residential roads and side roads were sketchy but I suspect they will get better as the day progresses.

They are saying to expect a spring thaw in the next few weeks (hence the 14 day) but that winter will return at the end of February.

Ah, I didn't hear the part about winter returning. I can see the 14 day forecast and so far the forecast is still showing spring weather for the next 14 days (which is basically from now until the end of February). I hope winter doesn't come back lol, an early spring would be awesome.

Today certainly looks good.8 c when I left work

Way sloppy out though from all the melting. And a lot of fresh salt still down from the Sunday ice as well.

As much as I want to ride....not for me.

Your roads seemed pretty good on Monday. I (sadly) drove to Red Lobster on Monday as my Mom likes giant there for her Birthday. It seems to me that all the main roads (7a, 28, Lansdown) were pretty good with only a few small spots on 7a where some snow was drifting. I could have/should have ridden out.

No snow left on the roads here, but just so much melting going on that everything was soaking wet. I draw the line at riding in briny run-off - I don't want to have turn turn on all my outdoor plumbing again to wash all the resulting salt crust off the bike.

Is it crazy that I saw a e-scooter riding during one of the heavy snow storms 1-2 weeks ago-ish when we were getting about 20cm + freezing snow??

NOTHING surprises me with Ebikes anymore.

Probably going to the beer store.

Got out for a good rip last night. Looking like more riding weather for a few days anyway...
