Actually looks very good all week

Well, I guess you will have to shoot Phil an e-mail (who holds a PHD in astronomy and attended UofM as an undergrad) and explain to him why his explanation is nonsensical. You're all about correcting the record, right? Lol.

Go ahead - it wasn't thorough as the U of M article at all and written in a condescending manner where the the U of M explanation was far more thorough yet easy to comprehend with proper illustrations of the points both of perception and actual arc differences,
Slate was fluff by comparison....someone trying to be funny for their Slate venue and failing.

Theres much more than one slate article explaining how the supermoon is hype and I've read the data and as a scientist I understand it. It also fits in an age where to get the advertising revenue and clicks from an audience you need to draw them in, like using the term "weatherbomb" on weather channels.

Lets put it this way...who here as a kid remembers anyone using the terms "supermoon" or "weatherbomb"?

Its a big full moon, but not so big you'll really notice any difference over many other big full moons.

I'm just hoping it's around 5C when I leave the house tomorrow at 5am...

Saw a big moon a couple days ago...slightly larger...slightly brighter...didn't post on FB about it. LoL Was reading an article where it just stated it's nothing more than media hype as they've got nothing else to do. What is it like 14% larger and 30% brighter or something? Too lazy to fact check it...

Taking the afternoon and tomorrow off. Planning a few nice rides since the weather is going to be great. Stay safe out there.

As already noted in other sections of this forum I will be riding this Friday with a protruding front knob. I can't get the new tire on in time and I fear this may truly be the last warm ride of the year. Fingers crossed, no blowout.

Gorgeous day today but still a nip in the air going home - then 2 hours wasted in the bank but was surprised how warm it was even after sunset in Mississauga. Looks good for tomorrow.
Got two nice hours sitting in the sun at the Forks chitchatting

Thinking tomorrow will be this season's last day, barring a double-digit day in December. Put some Stabil in the tank; will ride to work and on the way home will tank up and put her under the cover on Saturday. :(

Did you see matthew? He might be stalking you

Not sure who matthew is....not many riders today but there was a client there who also rides....a couple of the regulars...likely be packed tomorrow.

Nippy this morning but the afternoon was beautiful on the bike. Too bad only time for a commute :( Tomorrow more of the same but the super gas is already in the tank to start preparing for storage :(

Beautiful day, rode for a few hours around town. Hit some twistys, and almost got smoked by a prius to end the day
