Not to mention it's on the british side of the road.

There's a huge difference between Toronto and Montreal for example.
I've watched many people squeezing a car into a tight spot in Montreal, the driver either got out and checked to make sure they didnt hit anything, or they had skill and swooped it in.
When i had my business downtown Toronto, i witnessed hundreds of awful parking attempts and hits.
The Toronto way seems to be, bump into the objects to gauge when you have no space left. :confused:
 
Meh. It's cultural. We still think we have "curb feelers" on. If we didn't hear it go crunch it wasn't us.

Pretty common in Italy....
In a higher end Saab with a local, and it was bump bump bump until in... watched the same from multiple different cars including Mercedes-Benz's and BMWs...

Best course of action would be for witness-photographer to supply photos to police of hit and run incident, as chances are the rider isn't on GTAM (number of bikes in GTA vs. subscribers in same area).
 
So the bike got knocked over 2x today? Well that's just bad luck. Would the insurance/cops go after the SUV that the plate is in the photo if there's a claim filed? Or would it be filed under 'too bad so sad' and not do anything about it?

I've seen enough guys 'park by touch' in the city and they just don't give a crap about other people's cars...in their minds it's a bumper...meant to get touched...idiocy.

Had this happen to my bike $2500 in damages... But I caught the *****!
 
Have your friend forward the information to police as the bike's owner is far more likely to contact them, than to stumble across the post here.
 
hopefully he has full coverage so he can just file a hit and run claim...its a nice new Special Edition model and its probably a couple hundred dollars just for the decals....
You're friend should have left him a note with a contact # so the rider could at least get the pictures for evidence
 
If it was me i would of left a note but since she is on a ventilator and was just passing by to go hospital it wasn't exactly a priority for her to stick around, so a snap of a pic will do for her friends to share
 
I watched as a guy backed into my bike on the street and knocked it over. I lost it when his wife got out of the car and started blaming me for parking on the street in the first place!

Had I not been sitting on my sisters front porch and seen it happen, I'm pretty sure the guy would have driven away. People suck sometimes.

Hope this rider gets the recourse he/she deserves.

Oh ok, the reason I aske was last year I saw a bike that is the same as yours knocked over in a condo parking lot.

Didn't see who did it, i just saw it on the ground.

Without looking at the pics, what you have described is a grey SUV knocking down a bike and a white Lexus trying to park in that spot later. Neither of which are in these series of photos, and none of the pictures inculpating anyone. If there are any witnesses, I hope their story is more reliable than yours.

Doesn't the pictures explain the story on its own already? i don't know how more reliable you want the story to be? i said earlier my friend SAW the grey matrix tipping it over then snapped a pic. I'm pretty sure i'm making all this just to be a post whore :roll:

-First picture Subaru Forrester tips over bike then leaves ( the picture that is important )

(Picture that is showing another idiot trying to park possibly tipping it over again but doesn't and leaves)
-second picture white Lexus trying to park realized it was too tight so he leaves
-third picture with no car there

maybe you should take a look at the pictures first before you start hating
