My issue is when people start trying to enforce their opinions on others. Especially when it's something like a group ride gathering targeted specifically to a group of like-minded people. The fact that the people in the thread had to defend themselves was outrageous.

No one was trying to enforce anything, or trying to force their opinion on others. I spoke of my discomfort with religious based ride invitations. Try to be accurate in your accusations.

With all due respect, I dont think you understand the point or maybe we are saying it not clearly enough. We are simply (or at least i am) saying that certain thins like creating this thread is allowed and not against policy, it's not helpful or productive in a society that is trying to break these divisive barriers. To create such exclusive threads based on race, faith, nationality and... in a country like Canada, not only is not progressive, but backwards. These actions will undermine all the efforts a multicultural nation like Canada has put in to make us all as one united people.

I think majority of us would agree with the notion of unity and bringing everyone together.

Well this is the exact opposite.

You posted in the actual Muslim Rides thread to voice your discomfort. Posters in that thread had to actually defend themselves as to why they're doing it. You then proceeded to create a thread stating "What if I created a white power motorcyclists" thread whether it was appropriate or not, hinting at the fact the Muslim rides thread is wrong and discriminatory. What was your reason for even posting this thread? To guilt-trip them to not organize such rides? I fail to see how your actions were not trying to enforce anything.

You're preaching to the choir. I am of a minority descent, and i'm all for Unity and I friggin love all cultures.
But that doesn't mean people don't have the right to organize such things to be around like-minded people. My point is, if people want to do that, let them be. Just don't go barging in and start telling them what's right, or what's productive to our Canadian society.

Exactly. Just because something cant be enforce, doesnt mean its right. Government can't enforce or even ban Nazis and their activities (completely). Doesn't mean we should all be quite and not voice our concern.
Now i realize Nazis are not a good example for Muslim rides. Just mentioning that not everything that can not be enforced is right.
