Where do you guys buy your tires from? within the GTA area?

Thinking I may need to replace my tires for safety but not sure if I should get them from GP because I dont know how the prices are.

Do we have a GTAM vender or a tire go-to-guy?

Several local shops can match Pete's prices and offer installation as well.

It's worth a call to check with Speedworx and Pro6.

I've never had the tires changed yet. I know some people in the states prefer to bring just the rims to avoid having to pay extra for unmounting from the bike and re-mounting charges. Is that a US-only thing or does GTA do it too? Just wondered because it's not a separate line item on car tire bills I don't think.

Many people pull the wheels and drive them to the shop to save some $ on the tire changes.

It's a lot more than $10. I drive all the way from London to Embro, but admittedly half of the reason is to shoot the **** with Tony about how people think you need a crazy balancing machine for bike wheels :)

If you are looking for tires do lots of shopping around and research to ensure that you purchase the best tires for your application and riding style, not just what the local shop happens to have in stock.

Here is a link to the Speedworx Superbike Service Online tire store :

Select the brand of tire you might be interested in, check out the videos for tech info for the different tires you may be considering, then check out the sizes and our ultra competetive pricing. Simple as that!
We don't sell the dated economy versions of tires, ( ie Q2, PP2, BT016, etc) Instead we offer the same tires that we put on our show and street builds for less that most shops charge for the economy stuff.

Example: 120/70 17, 180/55 17
Q3 - $260 set
S20 - $290 set
PP3 - $286 set

In keeping with our no suprise policy when it comes to pricing we include the OTSF fee with our tire prices. Make sure you always ask if your tire quotes include the OTSF.

We install tires on the bike for $90 on the bike with our complete tire service, or $45 if you just bring us the wheels.

Starting April 1st our online store will be active and we will be shipping tires, with same day on most popular tires and applications!
In the meantime we have tons of tires in stock for our customers to pick up or have professionally installed at Speedworx!

A place that only does tires. I take in just the wheels, pay cash, and don't get a receipt. Cost including the R&R is usually what most bikes shops want for just the tire and taxes.
The guy is good and has never scratched my rims.

I'm near London and so is this shop.

Assuming from your profile that you're in the 519 area, Bluestreak Racing... Tony will do you well. Pete's as a backup.

I can vouch for Speedworx...did my tires last year and had the best price around for PP3's.
